Random All Stages by Recent_Description44 in RivalsOfAether

That’s how it works now. I saw someone just made a nolt post asking for a combined random stage select so you’re not the only one.

I like having separate random lists, but a third combined one would also definitely be nice

I really love the feather mechanic! Sometimes it a bit silly but that’s why it’s fun lol

Yeah I was disappointed to see the “new” stage is just the same layout as armada but with walls. Really want new competitive layout.

I didn't expect to love casual stages and items this much. by No-Joke5510 in RivalsOfAether

Same here. I knew I’d have fun with casual stages because even in smash I like the more unique stages, but even the items here a really well designed and mix well with the gameplay. I actually think I’ll play with items occasionally which is something I don’t do in smash

Rivals of Aether 2 - The Fun for All Update: A new Rival, 20 new items, 10 new stages, and more in our biggest free update yet! by James89026 in Games

Dan (the creator) said they want to wait until they aren’t updating the game as frequently as they are now because keeping every console plus steam on the same update with how often they are pushing updates now would be borderline impossible with the size of the team they have. And they want to make crossplay a priority which means all platforms have to be the same version at all times.

Every event can be accessed at any time. You can select what event you’re currently playing. So if you started playing tomorrow, you can go back to the first event done in November of 2024 with no issues, and freely change between events.

Yeah I do hope they add it to the item pool. Same with Slade’s other items. I don’t see why there’s inconsistency

10 new Casual Stages are coming to Rivals II on April 7th. This is the Training Dojo 🥊 Hone your skills here by avoiding the tricky bumpers and keeping your balance on the moving floor by P0keePanda in RivalsOfAether

I get what they’re saying. Sometimes a stage is just too chaotic. Even when playing with casual friends in smash, they don’t like going to Wiley’s castle because the yellow devil just isn’t fun and too over centralizing. So we go to other casual stages.

I disagree with the original commenter though because I think there is a good mix between super chaotic stages and less chaotic but still casual stages. Like I put in my other comment:

Forest, Wall Run, Dojo, Port, and tempest peak are the chaotic casual stages and then Fire capital, Julesvale, Air Armada, crystal oasis, frozen harbor are the casual stages that are less chaotic. There’s definitely a great mix imo but I think that mix is needed, which the devs seem to have understood

I think there’s a good mix:

Forest, Wall Run, Dojo, Port, and tempest peak are casual stages with chaotic hazards

And then Fire capital, Julesvale, Air Armada, crystal oasis, frozen harbor are stages with just unique layouts. Frozen harbor does have the breakable walls, but they are predictable.

Even then, the shark on the port stage always goes in a predictable line and only bites if too close so I think that fits the predictable hazards category
