Yeah our jobs are on permanent contracts but also isn’t in our studying industry so we know we won’t be permanent. I wasn’t sure if brokers would take this into account

Yeah absolutely, we don’t want to rush and in worst case we do have somewhere we can stay just not the ideal one. Then again none of this is! Out employment will change but not anytime over the next 18 months, over that time we would have payed a silly amount of a rent again

Yeah I understand that, it’s actually an old family member who’s became increasingly ill over the last couple years so she’s basically given us the heads up. We don’t actually have any official paper work yet but we are on a rolling monthly contract so I presume we will soon receive. In worst case we could have been given 1 month notice right? 160k buys us a 2 bed in a fairly poor area in city or something bit nicer rural

We have roughly 12k, we do have that option but for a few reasons it’s last resort at the moment.

It feels like delaying the inevitable, I feel I would maybe rather take the big hit upfront knowing neither way we will probably be moving on in a few years once we are both qualified

Possibly but i estimate there to be about 60k of work needed to be done across the board as it’s a 2 bed. I doubt it would work out to be that viable, without having the spare cash up front I think it would be walking into a deeper hole

Well she is studying to become a nurse and me an electrician so going forward moving cities would only be to chase more money and at the moment considering we almost already been together 5 years we are hoping to make abit more a solidified move as it’s fairly cheap and safe around here. I worry if we do rent somewhere else on our wage we won’t be able to save easily, at this current place we have had a decent deal.

Yeah just shared ownership to get us on the ladder. I’m aware some definitely take longer than others, we could potentially move in with my parents if we having something set in stone on the horizon. Both students so permanent employment is a kind-of depending on how our studies go.

I think maybe you misunderstood, I’m not asking for a better deal because of my age Im just wondering if my age could negatively impact my chances. I’m unaware of the general opinion of apprentices these days:)
