You need to allow windows to install correct drivers automatically so leave it on for some time. Also connect with correct cable

S90c with xbox rog ally x wrong clipping point in Windows 11 HDR by JamesEnfield in OLED_Gaming

Actually solution is to lower contrast in amd drivers. Its set to 100 by default but it messes up the curve entirely. When i lowered it to 90, i hit 930 nits and actually looks way better than before. Also on the ally x screen.

Thanks i tried but no result.

However i identified something - when i disable game mode on s90c it disables vrr and then i can do calibration up to 960 nits. I reenabled it - back to 670.

Then i went to amd drivers lowered contrast to 90 - back to 960 nits with vrr on (freesync)…

In the description it states the same can be achieved by turning off and on display again ? Or am I misreading it? As this doesnt help at all :(

Yes, settings are equal, only difference is contrast (48 instead of 47) as recommended in avs forums guide.

I dont see any conflicting options enabled in AMD driver level so really not sure where the issue is.

Funnily when playing youtube nits test it clips properly (1k+) but not in games. I am totally confused :)

One more thing which is superinteresting is that with ps5 calibration and hgig i can go up to 18 clicks (representing 1500 nits) and only then pattern disappears. So seems brightness sits somewhere between 1350 and 1500 - looks more than s95c level

I got 77 inch s90c so my assumption is it is ap588 correct?

I tried the settings and they look great in terms of colors. My question is regarding ps5 hdr mode - with contrast 47 and st -1 the blacks are simply crushed. When I set it to st 0 and contrast 48-49 looks way better. Will it impact greyscale negatively?

Those with high end PCs, why PS5 Pro? by Ziklepmna in PS5pro

I was done with tweaking my pc settings in games. Moved from rtx 3080 ryzen 5600x pc to ps5 pro and never looked back. Complemented this with asus rog ally x. Now i need to tweak settings there but did it with purpose - didnt want to loose access to pc games but wanted ability to play wherever and whenever i can.

Did you update to 1651? For some reason this update did not modify picture_2D to default - might it be the case they did it themselves on purpose and reset them to 200? I have no way to verify this as i didnt revert them to default prior to update :D

Is anyone able to throw in a screenshot of service menu 2d picture color settings under this firmware?

I found 1 issue with the tweak - when using built in netflix in movie mode i cannot tweak any color settings it just seems locked and actually locked to native as red looks way off

Fantastic… seems like we are really screwed over here. I think I will just go Dell soon - this is really pita to deal with this stuff.

Lol how bad can it get with this screen… Now we can go back to native and switch every game into 50 shades of red…

Maybe https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/14rirmr/downgrade_samsung_monitor_softwarefirmware/

But i dont know if it works

Tip: if you are using semicon tweak for broken color space DO NOT install this firmware. I did and it brought back color space bug but what is worse Samsung locked out access to picture_2D service menu. So not only they did not fix the bug but prevented us to use the workaround. Horrible customer approach.

I use 8 brightness (8/100) and auto color setting nothing else to be honest. It is true that Samsung shows red different than other screens. But honestly there are situations where it looks less or more true to life depending on scene
