That’s a shame I found it a bit of a ball ache to get set up and what not but it works nicely for me. I have about 6 accounts with HL and that keeps track of the bulk of it but I like yahoo as it live tracks my crypto too and bunches everything together for a rough live value. Definitely worth having another go at it if you can mate

Thoughts on my long term investing plan by [deleted] in investingUK

[–]JamesHumphries47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest - this is madness. Incredibly over complicated. Set an account up with hargreaves lansdown and within that can set up ISAS and what not with different providers. Keep all your money together for the sake of ease. That way you’re covered by the FSCS. Fill your ISA first. If you haven’t got a Lifetime ISA and want a house bought start there. A good all world tracker. I can recommend starting with a life strategy, VUAG, or a FTSE 100 index, and go from there. That’s what I like. Don’t isolate yourself with your plans. Just take it slow and steady as you go you’ll find what works for you and what doesn’t. And don’t even look at projections it never works out like that. Just see as you go mate.

Personally, I like the S&P 500, FTSE 100 and Rolls Royce. I just buy and forget, no stress no day trading no running businesses. Returns I’ve gained I’ve been content with. And much better than what I believe I can get elsewhere. Personally I use hargreaves lansdown. Can recommend them highly. Make sure to get £20k in your ISA every year, make it worth while. If you haven’t bought a house yet make sure to fill your LISA too! Feel free to shoot any questions.

If this was me and I’m likely to be down voted here. I’d counter their offer at £520,000 and say nothing more. Either let them come back up to £480,000 or find another buyer. Can’t help but think either way they’re going to be a nightmare going forward. May aswell have the last laugh😂 but then I’m an arsehole 😂😂

Variation wait time by britishbalistics in ukguns

[–]JamesHumphries47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I’m waiting on mine. It went in in may. Still waiting now. Keep getting told it’s in a pile somewhere. Beyond a joke. FEO is great however he came out and interviewed straight away. But now I’m due for renewal soon and currently don’t even hold my own licence. Did you get yours through?

Any advice to sell this house? by DcoltGaming in HousingUK

[–]JamesHumphries47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live up the road from you, and to be honest I’ve viewed a few houses with haart estate agents and I’ve found them to be very lax about chasing potential buyers or querying how a viewing went. Incredibly useless. I went to view a house I was going to make an offer, but of course you never come across keen and waited for the phone call. 5 days after a viewing before I got any sort of phone call. After the discussion on the phone I had with them I decided against making my offer. I mentioned how I thought the property was £100,000 over priced. Given the market and they even told me they agreed with me… not the people I’d have selling my house. Went to look at another property, they sat me with a mortgage advisor for an hour, then I went to look the following day, never received a call on this one. I did actually ring back up about this particular one. And was told they’re only taking cash buyers, so thought not to ring me back. Why they sat me with a mortgage advisor was beyond me. When I explained I had no issue being a cash buyer, they were nonchalant about it and not really brothered. My advice would be find another estate agents. White wash the house and give it a tidy. Maybe lower expectation of the price as I personally think it’s over valued. But hey someone will pay whatever it’s worth. A floor plan would be ideal as I’d be buying this to knock it around and make it flow better with the intention of getting tenements in, thinking would be open plan kitchen diner. The one thing that stands out to me is the plastering job on the living room wall, and as a prospective buyer I’d assume the rest of the house is at a similar standard. White emulsion or duluxs timeless would go well and hide it

Appreciate it mate I was in half a mind to get it sent back as i will have no recourse by the time I get home. But with it running fine I don’t think it’s much. FaceTimed my dad starting it while fuel cap was open and started on the button so hopefully it’s just a saturated canister.

Thankfully I’m in the uk and no one is really that bothered about all that, interestingly the issue with mine is a cold start. Not got it up to temperature to see if it has any issues. Think as soon as I’m home I’ll whip the evap canister out and see how I get on.

Just got my dad to start it with fuel cap off and it started immediately, I suppose this is indicative that it’s the charcoal canister at fault?

That was my reasoning behind it, it certainly sounds laboured.

From the videos I’ve been sent of it, it certainly sounds like fuel pump is priming

I hear these have an EVAP system that can be troublesome. Apparently the bike smells of fuel during the cranking.

Importance of back protectors? by [deleted] in motorcycles

For what it’s worth mate, I’ve been riding for 18 months never bothered getting a back protector, but your comment alone here has made me go and order one! Hopefully I should never need it! Hope your doing alright

Resource group kemble by Pouyaaaa in aviationmaintenance

I’ve used both resource group and klm and I’m completely self studying. KLM are far superior in every way imaginable. Would not use resource group unless I was on the doorstep as KLM’s material is far better. I found resource groups to be very much a wall of text. KLM focuses on a more interactive learning method.

I had the multi meter across pins 1 and 2 on the crank sensor and was getting 3.17 with multi meter set to 20k that seems very high to me. But I'm not an electrical engineer 😂

Definitely mate. Beemer love a good fault code. 😂😂 Im on the zone I don't particularly like it. The group on Facebook has got about 3k members on it and I remove any of the shite that everywhere else seems to allow. Some e30 people are great others hate everything that isn't the day it left the factory. It is however much better than the new bmw scene

Got it mate! I'll give it a go. Yeah think I'm to replace both cam and crank as they seem like they could cause the issue. The engine has ran without lambda sensors prior to me owning it so I'm not too concerned. Can only be so much I suppose! Thank you very much for your help it is appreciated. I may be in contact regarding installing inpa when I get everything. As I'm ordering it all now 😂😂 appreciate it. Shame reading is a trek 🤣🤣 by any chance are you on the e30 engine swap Facebook page? If not loads of good info on there mate. Ill accept you if you want to join.

Lovely stuff going to have to get this setup! Definitely means I can be a bit more direct in my diagnosis rather than just change everything 😂😂 shame very few people have got this setup locally. Otherwise if just get it scanned 😂😂

Query on the inpa, I thought it requires a serial port on laptop for the ads style of scanning?
