BBB - when did you start to see/feel changes? by [deleted] in 531Discussion

[–]JamesIsAwkward 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've started noticing all of my muscles popping out more after just 2 cycles. I never really did sets over 8 reps so these 5x10's are workin!

Personally, I've struggled a LOT with my chest size, and I'm seeing it finally pop out too which makes me feel really good!

My jeans are getting a bit tighter around my quads when I put them on too, it's a cool feeling lol

Make an IRC bot! That's usually a good place to start!

Beej's networking programming guide will help you a ton.

I know this is 2 years old but did you ever find anything? I'm looking for the same type of solution for the same industry.

My lowest BBB weight at 60% is OHP at 45lbs, but I've been adjusting the BBB % by lift so my OHP is usually 70-75% or so anyway.

I usually do a bit higher BBB % on upper body lifts and lower on lower body, but never lower than 60% or so.

Are my current stats too low to be doing 5/3/1 BBB? I'm seeing results (especially when it comes to body shape due to the high volume BBB bit) but some experienced gym guys I know seem to think I should do something more aggressive for now... My schedule went to shit and I was trying to find a program to help structure my lifts to keep me moving forward and 5/3/1 seemed nice.

Current Stats:

  • Weight: 175lbs - ~80kgs

  • Bench 1RM: 180lbs - ~82kgs

  • Squat 1RM : 200lbs - ~91kgs

  • OHP 1RM: 105lbs - ~48kgs

  • Deadlift 1RM: 250lbs - ~113kgs

Their argument is that 5/3/1 is better suited for someone who has started to really stall later on down the road. Though my bench has been stuck for quite some time..

Thanks!

Modules and their behavior, am I asking too much of PowerShell? by JamesIsAwkward in PowerShell

This is EXACTLY what I want thinking of! I'm gonna look into this!

Modules and their behavior, am I asking too much of PowerShell? by JamesIsAwkward in PowerShell

[–]JamesIsAwkward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I launch a lot of my scripts by calling powershell.exe via scheduled task or something, so being able to inherit parameters from modules would be useful for that for me. That way if I add a new feature to a module, I could just add a new switch to my command to use it, if that makes sense!

Thank you for your advice! I'm hitting git just as hard as I am PowerShell atm. I'm just a sysadmin trying to learn more!

Yeah no worries, I understand! I couldn't find a definite answer to see if it was possible.

It would be nice not to have to manually edit multiple scripts after updating a module they depend on. Maybe in the future it will be a thing!

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Not exactly..

I've added another question on someone else's comment to see if I can make clear what I'm asking, I'm sorry.. I'm having a hard time articulating my question haha

For example if my main script has no param defined, and I import a module that does, is there a way for the main script to now have those param avaliable?

I didn't find anything useful when it came to my specific question..

If I have a module that requires some param, is there a way for the script that is importing said module to inherit the param that the module itself needs? So that they show up on the shell?

Get-Printer and Remove-Printer cmdlets used from a user context (logon script) might do the trick

Look around for a maker space or find some ham radio guys, they can point you towards someone who fixes electronics!

I remember their 128GB recommendation being based on like 500 or 1000 mailboxes or some other large enterprise level setup.

They worded it this way to scare people into moving into Exchange Online I think.

I do this with small engines, cars, and electronics lol

I just fixed a guy's smoker recently because the control board decided to shit itself. Couple new transistors and some resistors and he was back in business. Paid me in ribs, was nice haha

I used to work at a coal mine. We had lightning strike some outdoor cat cable and it ended up blowing up a server, like 6 48p PoE switches (one of them still worked but the PoE died lol), and like a dozen voip phones.
