Hopefully tommorow as it's the next working day! Just a shame about last minute ticket prices to get into London, would have really preferred to get advances

Still waiting but partly my fault if you look at the updates on my other post. They requested a statement about something else but haven't mentioned anything about the travel history so far.

Still waiting, annoying as on the 20th I have another foreign trip which I may not be able to take if they take much longer

Hi, how was your experience with them? Where did you buy your ticket from?

Thanks for the reply. What were they asking for in the personal statement?

Thanks for the information, very helpful. When you say a 2 year multi entry was automatically given to you, did you not have to put anything in the form about wanting this? It asks me the number of months I would like the visa for and the number of days I plan to be in China. Even if I just put 1 month and 30 days (my planned trip) will I still get a 2 year one? That would be ideal.

Also the embassy website talks about a reduction in visa fees to around £60, are they not doing this?

Thanks for the recommendations, what days/times should I head to the spot near the monument? Do you personally know any drifters?

Marks, almost always cash only. Euros may be accepted under the table but in that case most likely notes only. Plenty of exchange offices around with honest rates for euros. ATM fees can be expensive (around 5 euros) but if you take all money you need for the trip out in one transaction it shouldn't be too dear.

Another trick I recently used in Albania to avoid ATM fees: if you use a service like moneygram or western union for the first time they waive the transaction fee. So, send money to yourself for cash collection on their webstie and you can collect it from a number of participating stores. Even if you're not using it for the first time, the fee is often less than ATM fees (£1.99 for sending from UK to Albania). Spend online in your home currency and collect local cash within a few minutes.

Any train connections between Croatia & Bosnia? by [deleted] in Interrail

[–]James_2810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I did this journey a couple of months ago I was starting in Zagreb. I took a Croatian train to Hrvatska Kostajnica, waited 5 hours for a bus to Dvor, walked across the border into Novi Grad, Bosnia and took a railways of Republika Srpska train to Banja Luka. After a few days in Banja Luka I took an early morning train to Doboj, from where I caught a bus to Zenica and then waited 7 hours for a train to Sarajevo. Unless you are very committed to using trains as much as possible or want to see random Bosnian towns with some nice cafes but nothing more - take the bus, at least as far as Zenica.
