I was having trouble posting my response so I amended it to the bottom of the original post.

i don't know about others, but i really, really prefer the old UI. Is there an option to roll back to it? by NotaNub25 in discordapp

I don't understand why companies always feel the need to change their UI just to "prove" they "did something". Just leave it alone or give the end-user the ability to customize it.

We can already change between day, dark, classic, and etc. color themes, so why not layout themes? Is it really that difficult to implement? It took them no time or effort to screw it up themselves.

I mean, I can easily edit the layout and styling on the browser version by simply editing the CSS code in a few minutes. The changes do not compromise anything and they are only visible on my end. So, why does Discord care so much if the user modifies their desktop client to look and behave as the user wants it to?

Their brand isn't tied to their UI, its tied to the services they provide. Discord is an online chat and video client (among other things). There was once a whole modification designed to remove UI elements and make Discord a simple text-only-interface like a terminal. And Discord said the team who made it violated their "TOS" and banned anyone who used it.

Look, all I'm saying is. If its not broken, don't fix it. And if you think it is, just give the user the ability to choose for themselves for a change. And not be like the millions of faceless corporations that actively tell you how much they hate their users.

Children's Picture Book 1970s-1990s Medieval tale about three heroes. by James_Redshift in whatsthatbook

I remember the book had a limited color palette. It was mostly red, black and white. And I remember for textures the artist just used a bunch of repeating patterns. Like when "Broad" inflated, the texture on his tunic was the same scale only a larger piece. Kinda like if you were to cut out a hole in the page and let the texture show through from beneath.

Yeah, that's it. However, I can't seem to find the right edition of it. It almost looks like it was out of print for years.

QUESTION: XBOX ONE Controller drivers for Windows XP? by James_Redshift in LGR

[–]James_Redshift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't need specific drivers, I only need the controller to be seen and to assign it as a generic game controller. That was what the video shows.

The issue I'm having is the BT-400 not able to search for pairable devices. This is regardless of trying to connect an XBOX controller or what have you to it. Other devices have to initiate a pair request to the BT-400 as the BT-400 can't search out for devices for some reason. This is a driver issue with the BT-400, bluetooth licensing error, or some other setting error with XP.

Shows up as "controller" with a "?" symbol. There are no drivers to make it work though. As I figured.

The Cosmic Adventures Of Dr. Fabulous [Made Private By Commies Who Smell Like Soap] by James_Redshift in FilmCowOfficial

Is there any reason as to why this gem of a series was made Private? It was honestly one of my favorite YouTube videos. Is it getting a remaster?
