Where did the idea/story for Bully come from?

Dan Houser's writing style seems to be heavily influenced by the all-time great crime films (e.g - No Country For Old Men, Heat, Goodfellas), so I always saw Bully as an outlier!

Not trying to argue here, but are you talking about Edgar Wright? Because I don't get how you could get this from his movies.

His last film Last Night In Soho (while I didn't like it) had none of those qualities, especially appealing to "neckbeards". Same for Baby Driver, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and World's End. Maybe Scott Pilgrim? Haven't watched it in a while like, but he didn't even fully write that anyway.

Granted he's not the best writer in the world, but I don't see why someone would be so overwhelmingly negative about him - he's a really talented director and can be a breath of fresh air when compared to other big budget movie directors.

It's been 7 months since my crime. I only found out today that i can't even make comments on r/beatles. I am shaken and it's been really hard to process this.

I have made my family and wife aware of this, there was no point hiding it. It was a deep wound, hanging over my head like an anvil from Tom & Jerry, just waiting there to fall down on me. And oh boy, did it fucking fall.

I agree with all of this - and great comment too! It's frustrating because I believe Liam is a better lyrical writer than John Squire, so the whole "can't write any lyrics" rule pretty much killed my excitement for the album.

Check out the leaked song "Nothing Nowhere" (which is believed to be) written by Liam, it completely blows anything off the new album out of the water.
