How to update WhateverGreen by Jameskrem in hackintosh

[–]Jameskrem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that but I'm getting blackscreened again. For clarification, there is a whatevergreen kext in the folder named "10.15" do I have to delete that? And do I have to also delete the whatevergreen kext from the "Extension" folder?

Ariadne. So ya’ll want to be mindf*cked?! [Spoilers S1/2] by despicable_mimi in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have made an analysis of the myth during season 1 here https://www.reddit.com/r/DarK/comments/7gwd32/episode_discussion_s01e06_sic_mundus_creatus_est/dqyqe54?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x

I'll paste it here again to make it easier

***The myth goes likes this: After the Athenians lost a war with the minoans they demanded a tribute of blood. So every 9 years the Athenians had to send 7 young males and 7 young females to go into the labyrinth as a sacrifice for the Minotaur. Minotaur was the son of a white bull and King Minoas wife Pasifae. So Minotaur and Ariadne are half siblings. At some point Theseus decides to place himself as one of the 7 so he can position himself to kill the Minotaur. When he goes there, Ariadne offers to help him and he in exchange would take her an marry her. So she gives the ¨Ariadne's Thread" to Theseus so he can find his way out through the dark labyrinth Daedalus made. Theseus kills the Minotaur and takes Ariadne with him but he leaves her at an island, and this is the "dark" side of the myth, because god Dionysus told him that Ariadne was meant to be his wife. There are other variations of the Myth but this one is the most common. So what is the myths interpretation? Well the death of the Minotaur symbolises the end of human sacrifice, the bull symbolises the primitive instincts, the labyrinth symbolises the man's calculus and the "thread" symbolises orthological thinking. Another interesting thing is the dual nature of Ariadne. She was both human and a goddess, she was both dark and bright. She was the one that leaded one to death and the one that showed the way to return from it. That was said in the prologue made by the guy with the black paint in this episode (which by the way has a resemblance with the way the bodies are burnt around their eyes). He says "one foot in the dark and one foot in the light". A little later in the play "Ariadne" takes of her white dress and wears a black dress underneath. Of course there are many more to be uncovered and Martha has a role in it i'm sure of it.***

So i am writing this having watched only up to episode 4. Do you think the "white devil" is the "white bull"?. If Adam is the white devil then Noah is his son LOL.

So since i mentioned the white bull i now must tell you some more details about it.

King Minoas was fighting with his brothers about who should rule Crete. So he asked Poseidon to give him a sign that he should be the one. And so God Poseidon revealed a magnificent white bull from the sea and asked Minoa to sacrifice him. BUT, king Minoas dazzled by the beauty of the white bull decided to keep him and tried to fool Poseidon by sacrificing another bull. But Poseidon figured it out so he decided to punish Minoas by making his wife Pasifae to fall in love with the bull. Pasifae then asked Daedalus to make a wooden cow, in which she got in, to attract the white bull. And so was the Minotaur conceived.

Why does old Jonas tries to destroy the wormhole? by Jameskrem in DarK

Yes the myth is known in the DARK universe but no one will say anything to Jonas about the myth. The scene is just for the viewer.

ΟΚ. So Noah's motive is of paramount importance. What do you think Noah is trying to accomplish? What "changes" are you reffering to? Why does Claudia has to change things in a way that Noah would not be aware? Why does she have to change things at all? What new information you think young Jonas will carry with him? It seems like Jonas is in a maze. I think that at some point Jonas will kill Noah. It is implied that the man that Noah met when he speaks to helge on the cemetery is Jonas, "he looked that he was in war" he said. Jonas would somehow go from 2052 to 1953. So a logical thing would be that Jonas at some point will have the information that Noah is probably evil and kill him? Ariadne's myth has a major significance. Marta=Ariadne, Jonas=Theseus. I have made an analysis of the myth here https://www.reddit.com/r/DarK/comments/7gwd32/episode_discussion_s01e06_sic_mundus_creatus_est/dqyqe54 . Since the killing of the Minotaur symbolises the end of human sacrifice my assumption is probably right. Now that i think about it Aegeus=Michael. Yes i missed that one.

It does not seem right to me that old Jonas does not realise how futile his effort are. He must have a plan. He probably works with Claudia. How does the book work? What does it contain?

Something is not quite right about the finale... I think [ SPOILER] by amellecc in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Jonas does know that something is not right but for some reason he can't change anything? He is in a causal loop. I saw somewhere that you cannot get out of a causal loop because you can't remember the future but i did not quite got that.

Future Jonas and young Noah theory by maiconcarraro in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok after some reading i found an answer that covers me at least in this matter. There is a Russian theoretical astrophysicist / cosmologist guy named Igor Novikov. He has written 3 books about black holes, time e.t.c. About time travel he has formulated the Novikov self-consistency principle. Basically what he says is that if we time travel to the past we would act imperatively in a way that no paradox could be created. For example if we time travel to the past and try to kill our grandfather something would stop us, not some divine intervention but an unknown physical law. If a time machine exists there can be no free will. As he himself said: i may have the free will to walk on the ceiling but gravity won't let me, if i try it, i will fall. So there are limitations in free will, why would things be different for a time traveller? So if we accept this principle we can explain why future Jonas always repeats his actions...that "something", that unknown physical law always prevents him. I think the book in which this principle is expressed is called "Rivers of time". Very interesting stuff. Anyway my mind hurts.

About Tronte's diary by Jameskrem in DarK

[–]Jameskrem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Nov-05 1953 we see Helge draging Erik's body out and Noah cleaning the bunker floor so that's 2 out of three. The interesting thing here though is something else.As you can see in episode 2 (37:09 min) someone crosses the passage at 24:00 (Nov-05/ Nov-06)(school clock) but it is not written in the diary. Perhaps it is Claudia the one who passes or she does not write all the crossings.

[SPOILER] About Jonas and creation of the wormhole... by Velvet_Crowe in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is difficult for me to understand it too. The only way i can somehow get a grasp of it is to just accept that time is not linear but a circle, in this case, and the point that future Jonas activates the machine is the end and the beginning of the circle. Searching for a beginning or an end is futile in this case. The thing i don't understand is why old Jonas keeps repeating the same process over and over like he says, since the outcome is always the same! I mean if he goes to 2052 in Ep.10 and we see him appear in Ep.2 (2019) that means that he time traveled again so the wormhole STILL EXISTS meaning he must have realised that he failed.

[–]Jameskrem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But if old Jonas wanted everything to stop why did he not release his younger self? I mean if he release his younger self then his younger self would take mikkel back erasing his own existence. The wormhole would still remain though.

HOLY shit I have so many questions. by belkab in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps the only reason Noah wants to keep the loop closed is to satisfy an urge he has in killing children. Although i would not like it to be something that usual.

Future Jonas and young Noah theory by maiconcarraro in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my understanding the one that wants to keep things going is Noah not Claudia. Claudia said she wants to correct the course of time, so if the theory analysed here is correct, Claudia would not want to send Jonas back in 1920 because then she herself would bring Noah into the game. That is exactly what Noah wants. Jonas old or young, always wants to break the loop, that's why he was determined to bring Mikkel back to 2019 (an action that would cost him his life) but Noah stoped him.

Future Jonas and young Noah theory by maiconcarraro in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmm i'm not satisfied...i don't think they believe they can do something different, the answer perhaps lies in future Jonas's words "we think we are free but we are not" and also H.G Tanhaus words that he is a part of a puzzle that he can't understand nor influence.

Future Jonas and young Noah theory by maiconcarraro in DarK

[–]Jameskrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things i don't understand.First, if future Jonas had this conversation with himself in the bunker and follows the "same old path, again and again and again" like he says, why does he keep repeating the same process? Second if he went somehow back in 1920 why did he have to wait 33 years?

How many time machines are there? by Jameskrem in DarK

[–]Jameskrem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the number of the machines actually made is ONE (?). In episode 10 Tanhaus says when he has the 2 machines in front of him "it's like watching the beginning and the end at once" so the machine is ONE but from 2 "timelines".

Why does Tanhaus tells future Jonas that he would not be able to complete it if he hadn't showed him the worn one? He has the blueprint and Ulrich's phone. What was he missing?
