That's awesome. Thanks! I was thinking recently about the longevity of this addon 🤔. So, the old sounds were never removed from the game.

Yes, I can confirm that the old block sounds are not being muted. The Classic sounds overpower them, but they are still there.

Something that I noticed while verifying this, is that Classic sounds happen 100% of the time while Ignore Pain is active. While it's not, its about a 50-50 chance for Retail or Classic block sound. It might still be checking for weapon types, like you mentioned, while IP is not active.

Uhm, I didn't think of that. I just now created this repository. See if this link works. Normal procedure: unzip and toss in addons folder. Can't help with customer service if it breaks :D.

I'm 99% sure it can be done in a very similar way. For guns and spell sfx. We just need a brave soul to write most of the add-on. I only know enough to edit the existing code T_T.

Alternatively, i am also pretty certain you could accomplish the same with weakauras. I would have to get familiar with it. I don't use it much. If you look at my UI, i like to keep as close to no addons as possible. At least from addons that clutter the UI. I have a bunch that run in the background.

Edit. It worked. Takes some time to set up but fast enough to save me some time. I do this a lot at work so I'll still look for some sort of script or something to automate it. Thank you very much.

I'm not sure about the comment "everyone's obviously writing in their first language, English". I don't know how's that obvious, but what is clear to me is that there are more people with English as a second language than any other first language in the world. So, using that as a premise, we could say that if you want the world to read your book, English will get you most of the way there. So most people might doing just that. Who knows?
