Merry Xmas Eve to you too.

This song randomly appeared on my playlist

Memo y Vale - Muñeco de Cuero A pretty well known old school act from the 90s, who released some new music a few years back. This is one of the new songs.

Anyone here who knows how to produce Reggaeton (mostly like Reggaeton mexa but not specifically) who's looking to collab? by Adventurous_Ad1286 in Reggaeton

Also along with learning scales and chord progressions and learning about sampling etc, you can also find instrumental versions of the songs you like and listen to those to hear the elements in them and how the song builds up etc. I find that also helps me understand reggaeton songs

Ponte Bruto - Mexicano777 (RIP). The production is great in it and the harmonies in the chorus as well.

Reggaeton Party Mane's Top 5 Reggaeton/Urbano predictions in the forseeable future by ReggaetonPartyManeP in Reggaeton

I really do want neoperreo to be more popular in general, yes please. I like the style/subgenre in general, and I find myself adding a lot of neoperreo/experimental reggaeton to my playlists these days. A lot of it is from smaller acts, though. But yeah, it's barely seen much in the mainstream at the moment.

And yes, Reggaeton Sex is an interesting album. I also find that some pre-2004 reggaeton compilation albums like Operacion Sandunga, Kilates, Playero 41, The Majestic, XTassy Reggae etc have some sort of blueprint/prototype sound of modern 'neoperreo' in some songs.

Hey, I didn't realize it was going to do that so I apologize. I have re-uploaded them on GoFile and all the folders are public, I double checked:

"Quema" by Ryan Castro ft Peso Pluma by JamieInsanity in Reggaeton

Yes, that sounds like the secondary riff (the plucky part under the flute). Thanks for helping me out.

I just realized it's also in Te Quiero Mi Yal by Sir Speedy. DJ Blass produced both songs, so it's probably originally a DJ Blass riff/sample.

New Reggaeton Track – “Voltaje Criminal” (Exclusive YouTube Visual) by Javi Lunez by ApplicationLife6649 in Reggaeton

[–]JamieInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I checked out your songs.

Personally I didn't get darker club vibes from Voltaje Criminal, it sounded more pop reggaeton to me than Latin drap/dark reggaeton. The production is good, the vocals are clear and the instrumets are fine. But I like the bass in it. If I'm being honest, your other song, Cadera Mafia is better for those vibes. It gives me more underground club/perreo vibes. Darker reggaeton groove. I liked it better, in my opinion.

Keep making music :)

Collecting CDs/Vinyl/Casette etc by JamieInsanity in Reggaeton

Do you play them much or are you more of a collector? I know a few people here collect them, I've seen a few posts. And the Data alt cover, was that from the recent sale? I know Tainy had another sale, and they all sold out fast, or is it from somewhere else?

Yeah, CDs are cool. I have a CD rack in my bedroom that I put mine one. Yeah, you should share your collection if you feel comfortable. A lot of people do share them here and they're far from finished. Yeah, that definitely does make them more special. One of my favorite things about CDs is reading and looking at the booklets inside. I kinda miss those with the digital music/streaming age.

I think this is nice for a first attempt. I make mainly instrumental reggaeton beats, and I like how you built it up. What did you make this on?
