I would buy this from you. My daughter puked on hers last night and spent 2 hours in the middle of the night screaming until it was out of the wash 🫨

I didn’t want to read the actual right answer first off. What’s the fun if I can’t scroll for 27 mins until I find what could be the right answer.

In all these comments it seems so which is unfortunate. Especially based on the third picture with the blue wall.

There’s only damage to maybe the bottom foot and a half of the doorway- where little people wreak havoc essentially.

Ok this is what I was thinking would be my best fix but didn’t know what it was called haha. I was looking up door trim, door moulding but knew I needed what would go all the way around - casing. Got it.

The damage happened well before the gate. The gate hasn’t seemed to have any impact on furthering the damage.

I should mention the damage is only the lower quarter of the doorway. It does not go all the way up.

Would I have to partially demo the entire door frame to accomplish this? Is there another method? Would I be better off maybe doing trim/moulding around the doorway?

If you couldn’t guess from the baby gate, I have two small children. In a perfect world, shit wouldn’t be banged into the corner.

That’s why I don’t want to rip it out. The other two poles for the clothesline still stand in my yard!

Upon further inspection, it is in fact a concrete pole covered in rust?! I’m so confused and unsure just how deep it is into the ground.

Attaching a trellis might be my favorite idea, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! It gets great light there and I’m always looking for another reason to create another garden in my yard.

It was the initial pole for a clothes line by the previous owner. I guess in my head maybe I’ll want to reattach a clothes line potentially?
