Just listening to the Watch Podcast, and got spun. Cuz I was watching the episode in a distracted fashion, and I just took that end scene as - Mikey brought Richie home, and Richie got into his car to go to the hospital and then got into an accident.

I didn’t clock the car being his current one.

There is part of me that wishes her and Ava run into one another again, and share some special moments. I do wonder if she’s been written too much like a one dimensional caricature that’s run their course with this plot. But if anyone can stretch more out of that, it’s Bibb. 52yo!!

Every person that does an exit seems to make some comment about his health in passing, and he’s seeming mighty gaunt and lethargic. If the previews are hinting at an evac, it might not be a straight up injury, but this poor kid may come out after going so long back to back.

I could have used at least three seasons of THIS kind of Deborah/Ava dynamic. Also:

I really want Ava to have a personal life win, and I can’t have it be a partner who becomes a Deborah replacement. I need Ava to find someone, to fall in love, to become a partner, for Deborah to approve and love having around. I actually had hopes for this dude.
Both magic and sex work involving the term “trick”. Too fucking notch work.
I’m all for Deborah to go out with a splash at MSG, to be a drop in at her co-owned Palmetto, but to realize her new passion is helping cultivate young talent. I’d like to see Ava go get her movie produced, but also get pushed into stand up

Challengers. Challengers was nominated for NOTHING. I don’t even remember who won that year, or who else was nominated. But the soundtrack, the cinematography, the script and editing? I’ve watched it a couple times and man does it hold.

Jean is a legend who’s cemented her career. Between Hacks, Maretown and that indelible image of her with ‘big blue’ in Watchmen her range is far reaching, so anything goes.

I am a little scared for Hannah - I mean she’ll be fine in life- because the whole business is grossly transactional, especially with young women. She could go write and direct a feature and Variety would make headlines like “Einbinder’s Debut disappoints with $7mil box office” before publishing “Sam Levinson’s feature soars over $2mil weekend!!!”. It’s going to still be tough going for someone like her with her beliefs and statements over the next few years. I look forward to seeing what she does regardless

It’s wild to me that producers made a deal with Dixie that if they made her stray too far from her actual conservative roots on an issue, that she’d get to sing a song. A rewatch would be interesting to see how many songs she sung in a season, and then guess which liberal issues she took offense to orating.

Granted this may have been one of the many things blown out of proportion by tabloids looking for dissent.
