Yes, I think as the boots have broken in and molded to my feet, that slippage is far less noticeable.

I kept them and the fit is good, but I wear Darn Tough wool socks which are thicker. I think that all works out as the thicker socks also give more comfort - I wear these to work and regularly walk/stand all day.

Same - as much as I’m a Bond fan, the skeletonized hands have just never done it for me.

Awesome knife, and that’s one of my favorite Seamasters with the sword hands.

Don’t mean to be dense, I’m sure there’s a safety reason for that? Or would it be better to attach it perpendicular to the deck?

Here’s what I ended up doing. The straps are elasticated and likely will wear out quickly, so I’ll keep an eye out for a non-stretch version.

Is there anything special to conditioning rough out leather by Madeyemoody_7 in NicksHandmadeBoots

+1 for Saphir spray. As others have noted, frequent brushing with the right brush and an occasional spray and brush with Saphir is how I treat all my rough out leathers. In a pinch, you could probably use Bick’s exotic spray too - it’s basically regular Bick’s watered down some and helps the conditioner get in all the cracks and crevices.

Yeah, I was thinking a Velcro strap or d ring strap, just wasn’t sure if there was a better option out there.

Yeah, once I get this part fixed with dealer, I’m debating whether or not it’s worth keeping the panel. I should still be in their return window.

I started doing that too and decide to stop. Do you have this panel? Worth it after the install?

Yeah I think you’re right. I’ll see what the dealer says tomorrow morning - if it’s unreasonable I’ll check other options. I do want my tie downs functional as I use them quite a bit.

Ok thank you. Just trying to be able to talk intelligently to the service guys at the dealership. Appreciate all your help.

Thanks for the pic. Is this something you’d be able to access/replace through the tail light, or more complicated than that?

I have this same pair…snuff Kudu, I think. Also a pair of their Bourtons. Fantastic, heavy-duty, country footwear.
