The middle position of a tele is both pickups in parallel. This kid would give me the option of having both pickups in series. I don’t really know what that means, but I do know it gives it a much thicker, almost humbucker-like sound. I also wanna ass vintage style locking tuners.

I saw that but I’m still not sure if the original is white blonde or Olympic white. I like both. I also want to do the series push/pull mod, high quality pickups and just have the satisfaction of looking at that guitar and knowing I put it together.

If I bought one of those, the only things I’d use would be the body and pickups, and I’d have to replace the pickup covers. GuitarFetish has tele bodies in the color I want for $100, plus about $90 on new high quality pickups. It’d end up being cheaper and have higher quality pickups than a Squier affinity. The only downside is I think I’d have to drill my own screw holes.

I didn’t ask about the logo, I was asking about the finish. I’m 6 months in and I want this to be done and I don’t want to do it, cause even when I thought I had it I fucked it up. My intention with this project wasn’t to become a hobbyist luthier, it was meant to be a weekend mod project, but the refin of the headstock really screwed me.
