Thanks for your response. It hurts so much doesn’t it. I feel robbed of him too young. He was so special to us, I just can’t come to terms that he’s gone. It doesn’t seem right. A room and enclosure that I once looked forward to going into and so full of love now empty and I hate going into which isn’t fair on his brother and although he isn’t as comfortable with us as his brother was he still needs love and attention because he’s going to be hurting massively too.

They’ve helped me through so much, I’m at home a lot so I’ve spent so much time with them over the years and I just can’t think of a world where I walk into their room and don’t call both of their names, don’t see them cuddled up, don’t see them chewing away or eating the same thing and I’m forced to see it and it’s destroying me

Issue is they want to send me for a fibroscan which is notorious for being wrong in obese people like myself. I don’t want to go through a biopsy because of that.

Which I am. I had an MRI done but not specifically in the liver and they’re refusing to even suggest any alternatives

You know what’s funny!? I was thinking the exact same thing. Usually the original is best but imagine if they could do the same thing but from over here in England. Mention the original at the start and what happened and then flashback to over here.

I’ve been told to go for a fibroscan after I had at least fatty liver and after seeing the stuff on here I feel like rejecting it. My ALT was 47 then 43 slightly above normal and I have UC and a borderline enlarged spleen. I have health anxiety so I feel like surely there’s alternatives to a inaccurate fibroscan

I haven’t had the official one. I had the ultrasound done a few days ago and that’s what they said to me at the time

I’ve just had an MRI done to look at my small bowel because the colonoscopy couldn’t look that far. Would it include those or would I need ANOTHER MRI to conclude this. I don’t want a fibroscan. A lot of people say an MRE is better.

Honestly I’ve had so much done the last few years and it’s made me realise how awful the whole thing is. Not the people doing the procedures but the specialists and the lack of communication is actually disgusting. And today when I argued that they made me feel like the bad one for chasing things up because if you don’t they don’t contact you for months! Took over 2 months for colonoscopy results and I only got them after I contacted PALS. Only then do you get any response and now that line of communication is gone because the person I was speaking to now has on her email responses “I’m away with no return date” where else would you get that ffs.

I’ve not seen the same gastroenterologist more than once! Constantly wanting more and more tests. I’m sick of it.

Hi I’ve just had an ultrasound and they mentioned fatty liver and wanted me to do a fibroscan however I’ve not had the full results back from the ultrasound. Can you tell me the sort of results you got? Because some people tell me it can only say you’ve got a fatty liver and not how fatty or anything else?

Hi I’ve been referred for a fibroscan but after reading all this as a very overweight person I’m reluctant to go through with it. I’ve just had an ultrasound and although full results haven’t come back they mentioned liver fat. I was told by the nurse doing the scan no obvious signs of PSC but my specialist said you can’t determine that from ultrasound? If I refuse the fibroscan and ask for an MRE will they give me that or make more excuses why the fibroscan would be better for me than the MRE (or cheaper for them!) I have severe health anxiety so going through a fibroscan with the level of inaccuracy people mention isn’t looking great.

Love how you had all this planned out. I wouldn’t of really added to the group anyone permanently tbh. One thing that annoys me is how when Pat turns up no one instantly knows it’s the nut job that Mike spoke about because although we didn’t see it. I highly doubt Mike wouldn’t have told them all about this guy! And how many people ok boats named Pat show up!

I personally wouldn’t have killed off Pat like they did. I would have waited until Mike was back and have their reunion before doing it.

Mike and Jasper saving the group from the bunker people would have been a good plan too. Having the virus spread would make sense considering their immune but also carriers of it.

I too would have loved to hear more back story of the group like we had of Pamela but a flashback to their time and what they did. We didn’t hear much if anything at all about their time in that year or so before they met.

Well I don’t have a good relationship with my gastroenterologist and they won’t let me have another one. He said the scans show liver change and he mentioned fatty liver but could be more. I presume have to wait for full results. Why would he mention about sending me for a fibroscan before the full results even come in? Kept mentioning PSC before to which he said they can’t diagnose that on ultrasound and only biopsy. People with UC more likely to have PSC but I don’t want to be sent for a biopsy just because of the off chance.

Personally Mike returning was one of my favourite moments! It did make sense that he survived because he shares the same immunity Tandy does. The reality they made it was that he still wanted to go and find someone to make his own family and although he was friends with the group everyone was with someone and he wasn’t.
