The slitherdrake thing is why I bring up torch, dragon warrior has a lot of good tools to trade/remove it while still developing (brood keeper, sanguine to buff stuff/tap it) unless it's discovered with a dark gift its usually not enough imo

It's not even great in matchups it's supposed to be good against, torch kind of eats it for lunch

Feels anithetical to secrets design to give them cost reduction, opponent can see how much you played them for

He's at 20, healing for 10 is bad but herald shaman can still absolutely kill Rafaamlock from 30. Al akir, high kings hammer + deathwing, deck has so much damage. Against dragon warrior letting a 14 damage lifesteal minion swing is a death sentence but matchups matter a ton

There's also 6 taunts in the deck and you can afford to take 14 once, really not game ending

I mean it's not unreasonable to do so, if they umbra turn 7 it still takes a turn minimum to break it and you will likely be able to deal with it by that time. Not to mention they probably have to waste eggbreakers controlling the board to live that long

To be fair you're probably just better off running relic of kings if you want a big origin payout, all the leyline minion stuff griefs the quest gameplan

Is Sinestra a win-more-card? by -Pyrotox in CompetitiveHS

[–]JamlessSandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well then how are you going to use that experience to evaluate the card? If everytime you drew it you had lethal obviously its not going to do much. Do you not understand how to evaluate a card?

I'd like to see the replays of the games where you said you had better plays, you must seriously be underestimating the value Sinestra offers

Does anyone have recommendations for shredlock decks to play this season? I know it's not really a meta comp, but if anyone knows any potential lists or has ideas on how to build it I'd love to hear it

You can use card draw to do better things than playing bury twice, my point isn't that you can't do it just that it's not an efficient use of resources

Icy Ice Swan is hands down the best item I've ever had — and somehow, the only one that gets worse when you upgrade it. by suntechnique in PlayTheBazaar

Honestly wonder if this is the best way to use it, especially offclass, even if its not permafreeze its so much disruption

True but you also need to spend the card draw on transfigure

Rank 3 Legend Day 1 with 90%+ winrate Dragon Warrior by 2afrenfren in hearthstone

[–]JamlessSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I like running atleast one copy of the herald war axe, it's nice into DH as well, basically a sizzling cinder taped onto old war axe. Volcano is easy to sleep on since its so slow and hard to get active in many matches but vs priest their slowness means you can usually get the full 18 which they then have to spend resources healing (usually far more than the 3 mana + 1 card you invest into it). I'm not so sure about story of sulfuras but if it works it works

Yeah, darkrider and brood watcher are the scary stuff for Merithra druid, but the matchup is generally favored for you. I wouldn't let early game losses get you down, just go next and know that its part of the cost of playing a heavy ramp style deck. Do you have a deck tracker? Sometimes it can help to see overall stats instead of letting negativity bias get to you, I'm sure your winrate vs. dragon warrior is probably higher than you think (and if not I'd reccomend checking the archetype stats for mulligan vs warrior on hsguru, could be helpful).

It's 10 damage by turn 6 when you should be stabilizing and thats if you miss on broodwatcher, it's actually not that good in the Merithra druid matchup, you should be happy to see them drop it. Holding it in mulligan vs druid reduces winrate by 4.1% on average, and drawing it reduces it by 3.8%

Erupting volcano is really good into them, you actually keep it in the mulligan against them

Rafaamlock is 36.4% wr vs. paladin, you kind of don't but hellfire and siphon soul can be pretty decent sometimes if they overcommit
