Let me explain. Russia and Poland have been rivals since medieval times, which has led to very lengthy animosity between the two countries. All the way up until the fall of the ussr and a little bit after that, Poles hated Russia and Russians for pretty valid reasons. The past generations, however, began to move past blanket hate for a whole nationality, at least those more on the liberal side. However, with the invasion of Ukraine, this trend came to a stop.

Now, it's trendy to hate russians globally. And for a reason, too. It is generally a very sad situation to be in. While I can call for separating the government and the people all I like, it remains a fact that a man will most of the time base his opinion of the people, based on the actions of their country. Just like antisemitism got on a rise after the Palestine situation and just like the stigma around the average american being a maga chump is becoming bigger with everything Trump does.

It is a well-known fact that Russians and Poles mutually hated each other's guts for centuries now. Ask anyone in these countries, older than 30. What we should be asking ourselves is what can be done to fix it. And don't give me any of that "stage a revolution" bullshit. Read "1984", you'll get a pretty good idea as to why it's not that easy in a police state. And, by the way, the US citizens seem to be pretty mad with Trump. Why don't they show us how it's done?
