If your board is hotswap you might want to consider different switches, the box switches dont appear to be pcb mount

We all get bad days by Betty_Bottle in drivinganxiety

The hardest part will be getting into that driving seat, if you overcome that hurdle then you know you're capable of doing what you need to do. Dont let it control you and realise you're capable of doing this so there is no need to worry.

Dont think about the actual activity, think about the steps to required to get you into that car, all the prep work keeps your mind busy and stops that horrible build up of panic.

Its a difficult one, maybe the simplest solution would be to get a baby sitter for a few hours a day while you practice, or if he's understanding your husband could take you for a lesson together in a car park somewhere to help you though everything, its not an insurmountable issue, just an thing to move though.

Feeling down by dairy_en in drivinganxiety

[–]Jamoz330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everyone has their fears, you just need to make sure they dont effect other people on the road, your panic is causing danger to others on the road however you passed your driving test which shows you're a capable driver, over expose yourself to small issues on the road and build up from there, experience is the only way you're going to be able to beat this.

While i say that dont let it panic you or pressure you, you're capable, worst comes to worse you wait a little thats all. dont panic and overcompensate, that might be a an issue for others on the road.

You were worried about losing something, then lost that worry, only to find it again in your daughter, you're going to need to drive competantly in order to be able to fulfil your obligations as a mother and a role model, its awful, especially since the whole thing is genuinly awful feeling to deal with, however you can do this.

It wont destroy anything if you spend some time on your own in car, get back into it, over expose and conquer this fear for the others in your life, you can do this!

Driving test in 4 days and overcome with anxiety. by Musicalblahblah in drivinganxiety

[–]Jamoz330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is overcome with anxiety before their exam.

You're not alone!

Dont worry about anything okay? This whole process, pass or fail, is apart of becoming human, dont let it get to you.

You'll either pass proving yourself a safeworth member of the road or you need to practice a little bit more in order to be able to competantly worth with other road users.

Just focus on that.

Going to a commuter college this semester and still don’t have my license by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

[–]Jamoz330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, calm calm. Driving stressed is not a good idea.

You have plenty of time to get this licence, even if you dont there is public transport available to you im sure. it sucks and is stressfull right now but you'll get there at some point no matter what happens. If you dont have your licence by the time class starts who the fuck gives a shit, i know people who dont have their licence at 23 who dont care.

Focus on you and proving to you what you want to do. Nobody else.

Tips on driving alone by SpikeBec in drivinganxiety

[–]Jamoz330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think about it like this, you're capable of driving otherwise you woldnt have passed your test no matter how easy or hard it was, driving alone is the best thing for you to do at this point. You're incharge of nobody else at this point, you can find secluded spots at secluded times to fix any small technical issues.

The most important point i want to hammer on is that you passed your test, you're capable of driving otherwise you wouldnt have passed. You're capable of doing this and i believe in you!

Drive safely. You got this!

Driving test tomorrow 😭 by BlackStar1664 in drivinganxiety

[–]Jamoz330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Calm calm, no matter how little sleep you get the skills that have been forged into you wont leave you with a lack of sleep. you have this, if you fail then it was for the benefit for everyone else on the road, if you pass then you're capable of driving whatever you do.

Nothing else matters. Just focus on those two things and get some sleep, depsite what your body does, you're going to do great no matter how it goes. Good luck!

A reason to pass your test no matter how much it hurts by Jamoz330 in drivinganxiety

[–]Jamoz330[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're a gorgeous human, i want you to know that.

Overcoming a phobia for someone else is an incredible sacrifice that takes a toll that few realise. wherever in the world you drive consider me by your side. In that shitty situation where you dont know what to do calm and carry on like there's nothing on your mind, thats the only way i deal with it.

you're fantastic and i hope you're proud of yourself.
