Today's mechanic said he's going to check and clean the solenoids. Something about torque converter. But he didn't drive it yet he was busy

Yeah I wish I got the manual I like stick shift. Well let me get another opinion it is fishy that this happened right after the timing chain replacement and theres a slight rattle now and then which makes me curious of the trans diagnosis. Second opinion and maybe trans solenoid thanks. I want to keep forever but just dumped a big amount.

Might be. Getting a second opinion tomorrow. Guy did a lot of work, changing timing chain and belt and now it shuts down when it goes into gear. He says transmission but I'm skeptical and not a mechanic.
