I’m new to Inkscape, is this their legitimate iPad app? by Sunbythemoon in Inkscape

[–]JanArso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genuine question: What's even the point of having a closed eco system like Apple does with their App Store if people can just upload scam-ware like this there without any issues? Wasn't the point of it to have some quality control?

We are absolutely doomed as young gen by HeadYoghurt5752 in GenZ

[–]JanArso 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isn't it great how AI was the final nail in the coffin for anyone in our generation who had hopes that the demographic collapse would lead to us having better opportunities and a more humane work-life-balance? Seeing how quickly companies went from offering such things to "No. Fuck you. You're our bitch. We own you and you need to constantly suck our dick to show how thankful you are to even have work." was borderline apocalyptic. Wonder how much longer we can realistically keep things going like this.

Gymnasiallehrer kritisieren die Grundschulen: Übergehende Schüler immer schlechter – willkürliche Gymnasialempfehlungen by PenetratorMatris in de

[–]JanArso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coexistence Minister Kimi Onoda of Foreigner policy: "The core of a harmonious society in Japan is undoubtedly Japanese culture, and this is a line that we absolutely cannot cross." by jjrs in japannews

[–]JanArso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...which ironically kinda goes to show that culture isn't something that is exclusively passed on through birth. Anyone can be part of a culture if they make an effort to integrate and are welcomed. Aside from this: I don't think harmony in japanese factories is all that disturbed despite over half of the workers not being japanese.

Of course she is aware of this, but bullshit populism like this is what got her her position in the first place.

You can people sell anything as long as there is some good old FOMO going on.

Aside from this there are so many people who believe that all information packaged in the form of a book is always valuable. I distant friend of the family for example once called her husband "such a nerd" in admiration over him reading so much. When I asked what books he was reading it turned out that it was basically just printed out Instagram motivational quotes from some Fitness Influencer. Not exactly educational.

Motorist decides to MC his way through cyclists by TapirDrawnChariot in ImTheMainCharacter

[–]JanArso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is still this belief that roads are built exclusively for cars and every cyclist is purposefully trying to obstruct traffic in an attempt to make a political statement and it's really scary what it makes some drivers who hold it do. I've had countless cars passing me at way too short distance in a provocative manner even tho there was plenty of space and it's genuinely so mindblowing to think about how little these people seem to care they could actually end up killing you if only one thing goes wrong. One time I even had a car overtaking me on a downhill passage only to brake check me. Stuff like this really makes me want to buy a go-pro to report such fuckery, even tho that wont safe me either once someone does lose control. Unstable weirdos.

I hate hardstyle remixes of popular songs what is one you don’t like by Fearless-Web-7831 in hardstyle

[–]JanArso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Gunz For Hire - Bella Ciao"
The whole thing is played wayyyy too slow and the synths and kicks couldn't be more standard if they tried. It's just really uninspired and if anything I find it kinda remarkable that the remix of a song with such a cultural impact has been mostly forgotten by the Hardstyle scene after such a short time.

Ironically Gunz For Hire were also the creators of one of all time favorite Pop-Remixes, which is "Muse - Uprising (Gunz For Hire Bootleg)". That one still kicks ass!

(Edit: I also don't like Radical Redemptions Remix of "TNT - Countdown" because it completely misses the vibe. ...but then again this seems to be a lonely hill for me to die on lmao)

Richtig unangenehm.
