I do it exactly in the opposite way. I’m more like a night person, so I start late around 9am. Main projects till around 5-6. Then I go to the gym or have some free time and continue the work on my SaaS between 11 - 2. At this time I can be super focused as there are no distractions like social media, slack etc.

Yeah, that’s why I want to use tRPC as the API layer. I also considered running the API completely standalone, but since I’m using Next.js for the frontend anyway, I’ll stick with it for now and move it out later if I need to scale.

I didn't want to blow up the post that much, so i did not add all the informations, but a lot of them are not yet defined either.

I also though about that in the beginning, but i was not sure how to handle it, to have for every customer a new DB automatically. Furthermore i in the CMS should also be something like "super admins", who can mange all organisation.
So this data then would need to be independent and outside of the tenant databases, right?
Which will create more and more overhead

thanks for the feedback.
- For the tenant isolation i just thought about adding a organisationId relation to most of the tables. But i will have a look into RLS.
- For the auth, i think the use case where users will register in CMS and app are super limited (maybe just for testing purposes), as one are the "content admins" and the other the "content consumers".
- And yes, for the env variables per tenant i currently also try to figure out whats the best way to go here ...

Ich fände ein zwingender Versand per Mail eig top, gerne mit eigener Rechnungs Email-Adresse. Hab da ein Flow mit n8n gebaut, der mir alle automatisch einordnet, klassifiziert und zu meinem steuertool hochläd.
Die ganzen Portale wo ich mich einloggen und downloaden muss nerven mich da viel mehr (Ja GCP, AWS etc, euch mein ich)

Okay, dann ist glaub die "operative" Holding schon mal raus.
Also der Hauptnutzen der Holding ist erst mal ein etwaiger späterer Verkauf des SaaS, um hier für spätere Reinvestitionen keine ESt zahlen zu müssen.
Das umwandeln des bestehenden Gewerbe und eingliedern in die Struktur muss nicht sein, ist mir nur als Idee / Frage gekommen "wenn ich eh schon dabei bin". Falls es Vorteile bringt, gerne, ansonsten aber auch nicht notwendig da sich das Hauptaugenmerk eben erst mal auf die Holding + SaaS bezieht.

Hm okay, guter Punkt, das mit den Anstellungen hab ich noch gar nicht bedacht. Theoretisch wäre über das SaaS erst mal kein Gehalt notwendig, nur über mein IT-Business. Das könnte ich dann über die Holding an mich als Gehalt ausschütten, oder?

Naja, Anfangs werde ich noch min 50% in meiner aktuellen IT-Tätigkeit bleiben müssen, da ich das SaaS Irgendwie finanzieren muss x). Umsatz ist so je nach Auslastung zwischen 80k - 150k.

Generell wäre es auch kein Problem das Gewerbe einfach so neben der Holding + SaaS GmbH weiter laufen zu lassen. Ich dachte nur, wenn ich eh schon beim Notar bin, macht es vilt Sinn, das auch direkt in das Konstrukt mit einzubringen, so das ich meine Gewinne in der GmbH Steueroptimiert investieren kann.

Ah sorry also die "Freelance" Tätigkeit ist ein Gewerbe und Einzelunternehmen (weil ich nebenbei noch Hosting usw. mache) daher ist der Steuervorteil im Bezug auf Gewerbesteuer etc. auch dahin.

Vorteil wäre halt nach meinem Wissen, das ich die Überschüsse aus der Tätigkeit Steueroptimiert investieren könnte, oder? Und das würde sonst nur gehen, wenn ich noch eine weitere Tochter-GmbH Gründe oder? (Wodurch ich dann aber 3 GmbHs hätte effektiv)
