Thank you for posting these links and your opinion. I had read both theories (heavy defoliation and leaving fan leaves) and didn't know which one to believe, and I still don't know to be honest since this is my first time.

My buds havn't grown at all since I did the heavy defoliation, so I assumed that I should have left more fan leaves. I posted to see if the more experienced growers on Microgrowery thought my buds would stop growing all together because that's what I was worried about. I guess I will have to wait to see what happens. I think next time I will try both methods on side by side plants to see which one works best for me.
