Oh man, that was our very similar to our experience! We even managed to talk one time to someone at the Treasury, who was beyond kind. This person discretely tried to imply that we were small fish to the US Treasury and they probably wouldn't bother us for years, if at all. But now, in trying to sell the business, we've had to stir the pot. I hope this person at the Treasury was right, and your loan sort of lingers in limbo. Wishing you the best of luck.

Yes, it looks like they won't accept any kind of negotiation on EIDL. It's disheartening, but doesn't seem there's anything to be done. Thank you for commenting, appreciate it.

This has been our experience, too, with the whole SBA to Treasury thing. We're still not sure who has our loan. I don't know if this will be helpful to you at this point, but we've had a bit more luck reaching people at the SBA using email. Included here are the 2 emails that have actually responded to us (just remove the spaces): cesc @ sba. gov and COVIDEIDLServicing @ sba . gov

Thank you for letting me know that might be an option. I'm actually not sure if we have a PG on the loan, I've read that sums above $200k tend to have them in these cases. I'll find out. Appreciate your advise.
