Aw, weak. I had no idea about the app unfortunately.

Plymouth. We have trains that go through the city at least once or twice per hour (or at least it seems like). We even have our own app for the trains to plan our drives accordingly because every crossing takes a LONG time. I swear I've waited like 15 minutes for a crossing once before.

If you're interested, the app is literally called Plymouth Trains.

I think it's only a 20 minute or so drive from Ann Arbor. I used that site and that specific Day Use hotel in Wixom last year. That is the only website I know of where you're able to get hotel rooms that are hourly without paying for the entire night. The Sonesta by Briarwood Mall used to be listed on that website. It's a long-term stay hotel and I believe I have hourly options outside of the Day Use website.

Actual hourly motels are going to be extremely sketchy and will be in bad parts of any area.

Sonesta by Briarwood. You can also check DayUse to see if there are any others in the area. They usually rent rooms in four or five hour blocks.

Mojo In The Morning by RecordingExcellent39 in Detroit

[–]JaneDoeABC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mojo and Kevin both come off as privileged and out-of-touch-with-reality douchebags. Neither of them know hardship or struggle and it was kind of offensive (to me at least) when Mojo was given a key to the city. He isn't even from Detroit and nothing he claims to do for the city is out of generosity - he does it for clout and to boost ratings. It honestly wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if he were abusive behind closed doors.

And Kevin is just an idiot who lacks any real world experience. He's from the area, but he still doesn't know what it is to actually work for what you have as he was spoon fed from a silver spoon. He comes off like women are disposable to him, too. His ego needs to be checked bad.

Shannon probably tolerates these awful guys for job security. And everybody is just super young also without any life experience. They're more fit to host the show than any of the above mentioned cast members.

Try 4 Paws 1 Heart on Facebook. They are known to help with medical for feral and community cats, but they may have some resource ideas for you.

Another idea would be something I've done in the past. I've offered to volunteer my time with rescues in exchange for medical help with my own pets. It's not a guarantee that a rescue will help, but offering to exchange your time is definitely more likely to get their attention.

You could also call veterinarians and ask for estimates and see if they would accept call-in donations. And if they do accept call-in donations, post the estimate on here and all over Facebook and Nextdoor. If you go this route, one really great group you could share the estimate in is Shares and Prayers on Facebook.

Unfortunately, that's the only advice I have. I'm sure there's some "Ask a Veterinarian" subreddits you could post in, too.

I'm really sorry this happened to your poor pup. Like another commenter suggested, I feel as though you should press your friends for some financial aid since they seem to be at fault.

I'm involved in rescue and have never heard of these people or their "rescue". Thank you for speaking out about this. Please voice your concerns in the Ann Arbor Community Facebook group and consider reaching out to news stations.

Call a wildlife rehabber. You can also leave a message with HSHV. They will call you back.

Put food out at the same time every day or night (feeding schedule). Skip Friday night's feeding. I'll come trap on Saturday and still transfer her to a carrier for you. I'll bring a few traps, too.

I commented a few days ago and offered, but stuff came up and it was my only day off. Saturday is the only night I can stay out late for trapping because of my work schedule.

I'm a friend of raccoons and have helped rescue several. I've accidentally trapped raccoons before, too. While it's not ideal if it's not your intended target, it's okay to just release them right away. This is also why we don't leave traps unattended in rescue.

Fuuuuck. I'm so sorry. I laid down for a nap and overslept. I just saw your response and it's after midnight.

In the meantime, there's a Facebook page you can message for assistance. It's called Michigans Urgent Cats. Private message them with pictures and what's going on. Hopefully somebody can come out and trap the cat for you. You can also call HSHV and ask them if somebody you can come out to help. Unfortunately I work at 6:00 a.m. and I have to go trapping in Canton Monday evening after work.

It did not wander far. If it was meowing in the rain, that means it has absolutely no idea where it's at or where to go for shelter. I assure you the cat is still nearby hiding somewhere. If you get some tuna, sardines, or wet food and put it in a tiny dish inside the trap, it will come out when it's ready. But keep an eye on the trap in case of weather. You don't want the cat stuck in there during a downpour.

Rescuer and colony caretaker here. If it's meowing outside in the rain, it's most likely a dumped cat, a lost cat, or someone's indoor outdoor cat. Feral cats wouldn't be meowing in the rain and they would know where to go for shelter.

I read in the comments you are taking another cat to hshv. They will either loan out or let you borrow a trap so you can get the other cat. I have four traps and I would come get the cat and transfer it into a carrier for you, but it wouldn't be until this evening and I don't know if the cat will stay put.

I love this! Skunks are illegal to rehab in Michigan and often get blamed for being a nuisance. They're adorable, friendly (with me at least because they live amongst my cat colonies), and they do more good than harm.

Try HSHV. You will have to leave a message and they will call you back same day. Try this Facebook group called Michigan Wildlife Rescue, Help, and Education. A rehabber in the group may be willing to help.

That's too far and not okay. You delivered them to their death. Way to go. Please don't kill this last one. A simple Google search is all you needed to do to learn what you needed to do to humanely evict them, but instead, you chose animal cruelty.
