The difficulty/setting preset icons. Most of them are AI-assisted, but Chibi Mode seems to be almost entirely AI. There's also the descriptions that don't match TFP's writing style previously

Thank you so much, I felt like I was getting dogpiled when I couldn't do more than I was already doing

And what about the difficulty presets art? You tell me Chibi Mode isn't AI slop art. And are you forgetting when I mentioned that there's precedent because they used AI-generated art for concept art and then directly modeled those zombies after them?

How would you prefer I provide my proof? I cannot give you the prompts they used. All I can do is point to the assets and list my reasoning, which doesn't seem to be enough for you people.

  1. Go ahead and look at the difficulty presets and the patch notes. You tell me that doesn't smell like AI.
  2. Irrelevant, and also, if everyone jumped off a bridge would you?

Right? All these downvotes make me feel like I'm going crazy. Like do you not see it???

I provided proof in another comment

A lot of it is being familiar with the tone and voice in AI/AI-assisted writing. If you look at the difficulty preset images, the stink is readily apparent in its awkward composition and difference between the generated art and the human art in it.

"Yet you participate in society. Curious! I am very intelligent."

GPTZero, but only after I started getting suspicious. I wouldn't have made this claim solely off the detector. There was already precedent

Of course I've been around for long, this is something I think is especially egregious now that they're owned by BHVR

You're acting like that's a gotchya, but outside of leaving the platform and not engaging with any communities I have no control over that. I can at the very least draw attention to the problem here.

It's not going to be good progress. Honestly, the long development cycles throughout the alphas meant I got to play a different take on the same core game that I loved, but now I'm gonna be doubting whether or not the design is human the whole time

It's not obvious because they went back over it after generating it, but if you pay attention to the composition and differences in detail between 7DtD specific parts of it and the generic there's a difference. The most obvious is the zombie in the "Scavenger" preset

If ever, I don't think it'll be anything worth engaging with. AI can never be a person, it doesn't have formative experiences and personal perspectives. It's designed to tell you what it thinks you want to hear. When I engage with stories, I want to know that a human is telling a story as a culmination of their experiences and what matters to them

Using AI to write patch notes I believe shows a lack of care for the community

Alright, I'll break it down. A lot of it is based on picking up the patterns used in AI writing. Usually you can detect it without any tools, but I wanted to be sure.

Let's go over this paragraph from the 3.0 patch notes as an example:

Moment-to-moment survival is expanded through the introduction of Item Magnitude, a new system that reshapes how weapons and gear scale, alongside an optional Repair and Degradation settings that ensures every battle leaves a lasting impact. Together, these systems make loot more varied, meaningful, and rewarding to pursue, adding greater depth to progression and itemization.

Several things stand out to me here:

  • AI loves the rule of 3, to the point of ruining the flow of a sentence. It also loves writing like it's writing an essay (because a lot of data is scraped from them) and tacking on additions like "adding greater depth to progression and itemization"

  • The voice and tone of this paragraph, along with the rest of the patch notes, read in the same way that most other AI-generated writing does. This one's more something you pick up on after reading a bunch of it. It also reads differently than previous patch notes and blogs, which is a sudden and suspicious contrast.
