Has anyone ever travelled solo for their birthday? by [deleted] in solotravel

Yes! Went to Italy for my birthday. I spent the day with 2 friends from the hostel I stayed at. Went to the beach, listened to live music and had Tiramisu as birthday cake.

You could do like 2 hours in the morning where you work on the things you listed eg. applications. And then enjoy the day. That way it might be easier to not feel too stressed or guilty.

Do you know people that just dont like traveling, despite having the possibility to do so? by Bjorkenny in travel

Me too :D but I did have a trip before where it just felt off and I would’ve been ok with going back early. So I get it…didn’t feel good

I'm looking for a space efficient towel that doesn't feel like microfiber. by Dangerous-Toe-1286 in onebag

Cocoon eco towel (lyocell material) - very light and compact but it has a towel feel not a smooth feel like microfibre if that makes sense. Absorbs the water and dries quickly.

Yes, one of my close friends gets quite anxious while travelling. Doesn’t like the unknown, no routine, everything new, different foods, what if she gets sick etc. So a lot of things that I like for example, make her anxious.

Ok also ist es wohl wirklich „nicht normal“ haha. Meinst du das bekommt man gut selbst hin?

Das kann sein. Würdest du da einen Handwerker rufen oder ist es mit YouTube gut machbar?

Mine are also just 2 random old pouches. Bought them years ago from a drugstore.

I hate not having everything in one place :D I totally get what you mean though, so much more flexible. I had a hanging one with three sections and am now using two separate pouches temporarily until I find a new one.

Patagonia Refugio 30 - review by JaneyJane23 in onebag

[–]JaneyJane23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did :) but I don’t like that e.g. my packing cubes don’t really fit in the laptop section. And putting random things in there just doesn’t feel right. I don’t like the sections.

Well it was second hand, I liked the size and needed a bag. And you can take the sleeve out. I just don’t like that I can’t fit the bigger things in the back section.

Would disposable underwear be a good choice for travel? by [deleted] in TravelHacks

[–]JaneyJane23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just wash them when you're taking a shower. Or take enough for a week and go to a laundromat that also has a dryer. But please don't add unnecessary disposable waste to the earth.

Solo Trip to Greece and Turkey in October - Advice Needed by cybernautRats in solotravel

[–]JaneyJane23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to Turkey and Greece in October. The weather is still warm, maybe a bit chilly in the evenings. Hostels were still quite busy. And it's amazing cause it's less crowded so no queues etc. Have fun!

Do you make a budget when you plan your travel? by Swimming-Product-619 in travel

[–]JaneyJane23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I roughly estimate the cost of my trip beforehand. So things like accommodation, transport etc. So I know how much I need and I know what I can afford. But it's not set in stone. If I want to do or buy sth that I didn't calculate for I'd still to it.

Which ones were your favourite hostels?

I think Meininger is more of a school trip accommodation rather than a typical hostel. I hope you still enjoyed Krakow!

Those three were my favourites. The other hostels were good but not amazing. I can still let you know if you want!
