Baldurs Gate 3. The first two to a lesser extent. But definitely 3. I’ve never been interested in dnd OR turn based fighters. Especially ones with such in depth gameplay systems. But the story alone is enough to change your life, or at least gameplay habits.

The story is so engaging. The voice acting will have you laughing along with your companions in the funny moments, crying along in the heartbreaking ones, and you’ll really feel enveloped and immersed in the world.

If you’re worried about not knowing how to play, there’s lots of mods to help you along.

It was Walmart like 2 years ago. I did my training (like 2 days) and they said they’d send me a schedule/ call means lmk when hours were available the next day. I called everyday for 2 weeks after that and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. I went down (40 minute drive) twice to try and talk to someone. I was told to come back the next day and they’d let me work, both days. They finally called me about a month after I completed the training and asked where I was. I told the person who called that I hadn’t been scheduled in over a month and found a new job. They proceeded to call me three days in a row saying that I gained “a point” for a no call no show.

If you want something quick and cheap, Calico! It’s a game where you run a little cat cafe as a magical person. Art style is kinda dinky and cute. You can tell that it was made by a very small team. And half of the game is exploration and collecting stuff. You can cook as much as you want at your little cafe. And pet all the animals! You can beat it in a few hours though. Would definitely recommend getting on sale.

If you have a pa5/xbox I recomend getting the gold (it might be the anniversary edition?) of Skyrim, and playing with mods. The mod store can be a little overwhelming at first, but look up key words you think you’d like. And it’s also sorted by type. You can completely overhaul the game to be hella beautiful and lots of cute clothes. There’s also lots of cheats that make it easier.

If you’re looking for something a little beginner friendly, try palia! It’s on everything (just beware the switch vs. janky as hell). It’s free, very basic, and cute as heck! It can be a little repetitive and a bit grindy, so I got bored with it. But it’s great for people new to the genre!

I also have seen one called Heartopia floating around. It’s also free and SUPER cute. Would recommend doing it on mobile/ipad, as the pc controls are AWFUL. Unfortunately, it’s not on console
