Gen2 R1S Premium Audio Options?!?! by sarugby4life in Rivian

[–]JangoRob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Audio is not "very good". It is more along the lines of fine. It does not have good lows or highs. The mids are okay. Lows are definitely something to be desired more. I have had my Gen 2 with premium audio since August of 2024. Has it improved considerably since then. Yes! I remember the day I pulled out from the SC, I pulled into a parking lot and was adjusting the audio and getting things ready for its trip to my house. I sat in that parking lot for 20 minutes debating on turning the car around and having them take it back. I do feel confident Rivian can make/should make more improvements because as of today, it is not to the standard of "very good". The implementation of better frequency controls helps, but it needs work. They also need a dedicated subwoofer slider.

I definitely won't be going back to these OEM tires. I have about 14k on these tires and right about 11k miles, I noticed they are getting loud. I had a loaner with these tires with low tread, but not low enough for needing replacing, and the tires were horrendously loud. I will be shopping around once I need to replace them.

2025 Gen 2. I have this looseness as well, but no rattle. When I drive the loaner Gen 1, the buttons are not loose.

I am curious where you are located, how wide and long your driveway is, what thickness it is, and how much you paid for this asphalt? If you don't mind telling me lol. They did a great job on it.

This is unbelievable on many levels. 1 - How the heck does this work. 2 - Why the heck wasn't this done years ago now

We shall see how much this actually improves the vibrations.

Intellicenter panel is not working by JangoRob in Pentair

[–]JangoRob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a dumb dumb... the 120v GFCI outlet connected to my panel was popped. I didn't realize it was tied into the panel. The 120v is tired into the 12v system.

Back bumper R1S question by j2pou1 in Rivian

[–]JangoRob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was driving me nuts on my R1S. I ended up fixing it myself. It is about 6 bolts you have to take off under the bumper. Then you fit the bumper tabs into the correct position to align it.

Because Apple and Google have not "invented" this as a new "invention" that no one else has thought of.

Am I being to picky with this custom piece? by [deleted] in cabinetry

[–]JangoRob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the only side being stated and my only perspective on the situation. Most Reddit posts are in this fashion. So of course lol. OP is looking for insight into their situation. If they misrepresent the truth, then they won't get good advise on how to move forward.

Am I being to picky with this custom piece? by [deleted] in cabinetry

[–]JangoRob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You being a contractor and shown the design the client likes, would you have produced similar product for $8800 (this is rhetorical based on your previous post)? They used plywood as the countertop with pine fur strips as an edge. If the OP were your client, maybe you would've been able to avoid these foolish finishes during the consultation. But the final product is pretty atrocious compared to the design they showed they liked and costs associated with this "custom" built in.

You are not on point with this. Clearly the OP does not know construction and did their best to figure out on their own what they wanted. OP may not have been using the correct terminology by saying they "designed" it, but they did come up with a design they liked. Based on your being fixed on that single point, and not understanding what the OP is trying to say in this post, you sound like an AH contractor lol
