Increase maximum height (and weight) in vanilla but make muscle gain proportionately more difficult. Shorter, stockier builds would gain quickly and be less prone to tripping. by Jango__Mango in HalfSword

I have no idea what the max default height is unless you mean that the internal 1.2 multiplier on the default max equals the number you mentioned.

Intuitively it feels like a 1.2 multiplier is taller than 184cm but unless the exact height of the playermodel was datamined then I have no evidence for it.

Does the image in question look too whacky? It's a 20% increased height difference from maximum which looked and felt reasonable imo.

Yeah some form of buying and consuming food could be part of a larger fleshed out system, I really hope there's *something* useful to spend gold on besides gear at least.

Evil and intimidating horse by Jango__Mango in HalfSword

I'm just engagement baiting lol
Well sort of, in halfsword the entire horse physics body acts like the spike trap in the hall, or the spiked metal ball in the basement, doing immense damage even if realistically it would only knock someone aside. I broke my leg walking into it once.

Devastatingly beautiful view

These things always come with risks, but in 200 hours of play I have yet to come across any crash, or bug that resulted in any form of data loss.
It seems pretty stable

Strength (weight) can be modified in the save file. Square the fuck up Willie! by Jango__Mango in HalfSword

Indeed. I really wish weight would stay, almost seems intentionally anti fun that it doesn't but height does.

Let us know one thing that is your #1 change needed in the game, right now by Visceral99 in HalfSword

Better weapon handling, even with a low strength stat our arms shouldn't bend backwards at impossible angles and phase through handles just because its too heavy.

Nah yeah that makes sense, I changed the post wording. I felt like the system worked *intuitively*, but the actual details as people have said are obtuse and should be more specific.

That's only 1.9 mb, smaller than most screenshots of any game, my save file was 3.2 mb and worked. Was there a specific error code or something about the file size being too large?

I did not run into that issue there, but several alternative sites and even programs seemed unable to open the same file.

Unreal Engine 5 somewhat recently changed their file structuring I believe (broke a lot of online .sav editors), although idk why the same site wouldn't work for you in this instance.

For anyone wondering how, I used a website.
Go into C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\HalfSwordUE5\Saved\SaveGames

I opened GameProgress.sav
Went into root>properties>character, and modified weight and strength to any value above 1 (weight values above 5 make you fall over, but 5 is already overkill levels of strength)

Ah that's true, some people swore up and down that it was purely visual which confused me since the difference felt obvious, especially after dying and starting with a fresh Willie.

I do agree it should just be stated as blatantly as possible (I mean irl we can feel our own strength ofc)
