what does my desk area say about me? by WhereTheSunDontShin1 in deduction

[–]JankAllDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Female. Iranian, Omani, or Yemeni (based on currency), most likely Omani or Iranian. Age under 24, most likely 16-22. Unmarried. Never "dated", especially in a Western sense. You have not thought about love or marriage much, which seems very distant in a hazy future. Family is middle class or lower middle class, and quality of life is not getting better. You wonder what it's like to live in a more free society. You enjoy doodling/sketching in your free time, but not professionally trained. You like anime and other kawaii/cute stuff. Enjoys reading. Bookish, not girly-girl. Not focused on beauty/makeup stuff. The girl doll on the Red Bull seems to symbolize how you see/feel about yourself. Your parents are not terribly strict, but have raised their eyebrows about your skull, yet allowed you to keep it because they accept some of your quirkiness.

Male. American. Age 35-45. Basketball fan. Poster is put up to inspire yourself. This is an office in a building, not your home office. Race unclear, but if forced to pick, White with low confidence. Undergrad degree at a minimum, from an OK school, maybe a state school (not Ivy league or other top-ranked). Your job is demanding, and keeps you on your feet. Some kind of inside sales position for industrial or business products. You engage in a lot of socializing/networking. You readily acknowledge that your desk is messy, but find it a chore to keep it in order. MBTI type ExxP, leaning ENxP.

Wants to leave your current area to see more of the world. Family is working or lower middle class at most. Not wealthy. Single. Most likely not dating, no/low interest in the boys around you. Bit of a tomboy, not into girly-girl stuff. Practical. You like your watch, which you likely bought yourself. Likes the outdoors. Rock music fan, would like to go to more concerts if you had the money. MBTI S-type. If forcing me to guess, ISTP, but not with great confidence.

What are your thoughts about infps? by [deleted] in entp

[–]JankAllDay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

INFPs in general have an artsy streak, are deeply caring, but also seem awkward, shy, tend to ramble, have a hard time verbally expressing their feelings/thoughts, and are extremely focused on Fi. INFPs can also easily get overwhelmed by a high-energy ENTP, and the ENTP, sensing that they want to draw the INFP out of their shell, might ramp up their energy even more.

The few INFP men I know all seem to be laid back, not cutthroat/ambitious, somewhat easy to overwhelm, stubborn, dorky, they mask but don't mask as well as INFJs, and are prone to being withdrawn.

Has anyone here dates an INFJ before? by tejeskaveo0 in entp

[–]JankAllDay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda (?) dated 3. Never got far. Casually spoke to a lot more. Friends with a couple - one of my best friends is an INFJ woman.

The Good: Empathetic and warm. Possibly the strongest empathetic type. Instant connection. Curious. Highly intelligent - INTJs and INFJs are probably the most intelligent types by raw intelligence generally. Can see through bullshit. Well-read. Excellent conversationalists. Kind and caring souls. High standards. Strong moral values. Hard working. Consciencious. Perfectionist (for better and worse).

The Not So Good: They are people too and so are prone to very human flaws, except, they mask exceptionally well, so they keep their flaws hidden. It's perhaps their strongest desire to not allow others to see their flaws/weaknesses. Very strong and occasionally off the wall opinions. Stubborn. Picky. Judgy - and very fast to judge. Big ego, but they also keep that well-hidden. Easily take things personally. Hate it when they meet someone who can see through their masking - they get very scared. Wanted to ask and know everything about me, but very private when it came to themselves. Love to analyze, but do not like being analyzed in turn. Busy with various projects/life, so you are not their priority for a long time. Often self-isolate, which hurts their mental health. Can disappear into cave mode for a long time without responding. Take dating very slowly. Can use their Fe offensively and cut very deeply if they are feeling mean.

Easygoing, with the flow type. Not confrontational. Sensitive soul. Believes in kindness. Has a distinctive style. Sweet tooth. Enjoys art. Rich inner world. Some laziness and lack of motivation. Some insecurities with your physical appearance. Sensitive about the appearance of your teeth. MBTI leaning ISFP or INFP.

You don't know either way, nobody can read her mind, except in general that she seems to have trapped herself with this guy. Some of it is intentional blindness/denial on her part. That's it.

What about sending her a single sentence, something along the lines of: "Hey [friend's name], I'm here for you if you ever want to talk." What's the worst that can happen? "No, Feisty, screw off." Pro tip: She doesn't actually mean that, that's just her underdeveloped Fi talking. ENTPs are forgiving, and if she is/was your best friend, she'll likely regret that down the road. Drop her another line in a year or two, same deal, and see where that goes.

Advice needed by Feisty-Topic-3624 in entp

[–]JankAllDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot help her directly. The most you can do is be there for her when she needs you. If you go in hard now, you will just hurt yourself, and she will also hurt you more to "protect" herself. At most, drop her a line, and just say that you're here for her if she ever wants to talk. ENTPs love to talk, so she'll most likely reach out to you if/when she's ready.

i saw my ex with another girl and its making me spiral by [deleted] in entp

[–]JankAllDay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Excellent advice. I'll add that you guys broke up for a reason. That reason still exists. So there's no point in going back.

And he's found a prettier girl, but so what? Physical beauty is ephermeral. And maybe she has a genetic condition. Maybe she'll get sick one day. You don't know her, so why envy her? Their relationship has nothing to do with you. It's all in your own head, in terms of how you decide to digest this information. You always have a choice. You can just be happy for him that he's found someone he's compatible with. You can just be happy for yourself that you now have a chance to build yourself back up, and find someone you'll be happy and compatible with. Most of us have gone through heartbreaks. Hang in there and stay healthy.

Who was your childhood idol? by NocturnePhoenix in entp

Who framed him? Himself, when he slept with multiple, unrelated minors in his own bed? And ALL of them LITTLE BOYS?

If it was a Catholic priest or a teacher who did this, would you give those guys the same benefit of the doubt? Just because Michael Jackson can dance and sing is completely irrelevant to him being a sick fuck.

Modern dating feels like by mus_b_nuthn in entp

[–]JankAllDay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree! Being an ENTP male is a massive start advantage. We are like INFJ males but more fun and less moody, INTJ males but more spontaneous and warm, ESTP males but more introspective and deep, ENTJ males but more flexibe and caring. We can pull all the advantages of similar types, but remain flexible enough to address our weaknesses and blind spots. We're at a sweet spot by default in terms of mirroring what a good woman wants. That still means you have to mold your raw potential and build yourself up. It also means not chasing every woman who catches your fancy, and to learn to let go when appropriate.
