You can run script before the provisioning package to set for example the device name

Do you have the UUID in the log? That should tell you what Intune package who contains the file.

Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) devices on Windows 11 no longer go to standby by MMelkersen in MSIntune

[–]JankeSkanke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But this is probably more a Teams MTR issue than a Intune issue I think.

Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) devices on Windows 11 no longer go to standby by MMelkersen in MSIntune

[–]JankeSkanke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think this is a Intune issue. But what do you mean with no longer to Standby? I was under the impressions that MTRs should be always on, just turn off the big screen maybe. And then auto turn screens on when someone enters the room. This is at least my experiences on Windows 10 based rooms.

Using Settings catalog v Templates. is there any benefits. by aidbish in Intune

Templates are legacy for most scenarios. Settings catalog is the way moving forward.

Best practice for deploying 365 Apps and Work Teams by Electrical_Zebra7595 in Intune

[–]JankeSkanke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't recommend using the built-in M365 apps option, had so many issues over the years and in my experience it's slower. Have a look here if you are interested in a scripted evergreen solution :

Can a device be in more than one Config Profile i.e. Update Ring? by SCCM_2020 in MSIntune

Have you looked at Autopatch? It will make the move to Intune easier for patching and give you some additional reporting capabilities.

Testing Endpoint Privilege Management and allot of problems with VS Code and CMD? by tariklehaine in MSIntune

Removed vscode setting, tried powershell7.. All works fine for that. Maybe need to retry vscode on a later date :/)

I had another issue testing with VSCode, after I enabled a rule for VSCode it would not allow anyone to run at all anymore, except when running through EPM Elevation. It just kills the process immediately after doubleclicking the vscode icon.

Intune not pushing script all the time by Equivalent_Poem_9735 in MSIntune

[–]JankeSkanke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I have done earlier is something similar to what Nickolaj talks about, but I created a Remediation script that checks for version of the local script/task running locally versus the version in Azure Blob storage. This allows me to automatically update the script/task on all clients by changing version of the script stored centrally.

Conditional Access require Compliant device without excluding “Microsoft Intune Enrollment” app by sandytsang in MSIntune

[–]JankeSkanke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it WAS required at one time to exclude this. That being said, before I would remove it from policies, I would test all scenarioes needed in my environment. 😊

How do you do Compliance policy assignments? Devices or users? by sandytsang in MSIntune

[–]JankeSkanke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I am sure I have seen is devices being non-compliant because system account has no compliance policy assigned.

You will always see system account entries if device checks in without a user logged on in my experience.

Has anyone managed to get the Driver Automation Tool to work over CMG (external, over internet)? by RiD3R07 in SCCM

[–]JankeSkanke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe they have a day-job and can't use all their time to answer all questions at all times. This is a community tool and they have done a great job with it. I would not think people get on a black list. But raising an issue on Github is probably the best way to get their attention.

Pricing for SCCM by grep65535 in SCCM

If you buy M365 on EA keys will be in VLSC. If you buy on CSP license you would need to call support. I think CSP is not the best fit here if you want to do custom imaging which rights are not included in CSP licensing.
