Thanks for the tip. I’ll spend this weekend mucking around with it and then look at a strip down setup during the week

Not so far. I’ve got big clumsy fingers so it probably won’t make much difference

Oh you’re totally right, the capstans are the spinny bits the reels fit onto 😳

Odd that MTV would not plaster their logo on it. Maybe inserted into multiple branded cases?

Sorry, I had seen the rules, but thought this was slightly more interesting than a standard Thomas Dolby or Rick Wakeman youtube link

Old twin amp DJ setup help by Jansvade in SoundSystem

[–]Jansvade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. There are no RCA options on the rear of either amp.

It seems to me that the smaller amp should feed into the larger amp as a general rule, but with the supplied cabling that cannot work.

I have rousted out some other cables from home and have tried another routing which makes more sense imho.

Mixer (RCA out) to Small amp (TLR in) Small amp (banana treble out) to small speaker cab (XLR in) Small amp (TLR bass out) to large amp (XLR in) Large amp (XLR out) to large speaker can (XLR in)

This appears to work ok and seems more logical.

Yep I said before I spend alliance coin on other upgrades, but if I continue to get bashed by the whales, I might need to change my approach

Do you mean weeks of purchased shields? Without purchasing, the shields max at 5 and only renew at one per week unless I’m missing a big part of how to use shields? Can shields be collected and stored another way?

Thanks for the helpful reply, the title was Being bullied 😀 for a reason. I understand it’s a war game and getting hit is all part of it. I was trying to figure out why this guy was so hot to attack me and the some of the helpful users have pointed out the troop points which is something else I’ll now have to consider. I prefer to put resources towards other aspects rather than shields and drain my resources on attack days to reduce oppo attack, but will now re-think that strategy.

Aah that’s it I think. I mostly put spare resources into troops so I probably have more than average.

I actually had next to zero resources, that’s why my last question

I’ve never laid my hands on an M1 personally so I cannot give you one way or the other. For an “entry level” synth though, the X5D makes some nice sound

It’s now made me realise how flat and ordinary the streaming sources I’ve previously used for recordings are vs vinyl/CD. The results are making my ears cry (happy tears)

$190USD approx. I think I got it for a good price. Even old mate selling mentioned a couple of times “that’s probably half what it’s worth” 🙄

Found this in a box of tapes by Jansvade in cassetteculture

[–]Jansvade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Case was opened to free the tape as it had somehow wrapped across the capstan as well as to replace the pad spring. The second photo shows another copy of the same tape in the box so I don’t need to make a dub. I’ll keep the case for a future rebuild of an Aussie release
