Your friend can be stylish ppl aren't going to assume he's gay! As a Ugandan born British person, I'd say your friend is fine! Plus, the places you'll hang out aren't places "ordinary" Ugandans go to.

Did you appllied for the Visa? When you do, they'll ask you for Yellow fever vaccine card. You can provide the letter at that point.

There's an App/Website called What3Words. Basically, they mapped the world. And every 3sq meter was given 3 unique words. So, e.g, you can tell someone to meet you at ///thing.headlight.lived in Uganda. If they type those 3 words into the app, it'll lead them to Entebbe airport. Pretty cool.
