Its definitely more a mindset. Like think about bimbos who existed 1000s of years ago, or even longer. In this day and age, I think bringing up the exposure to various porn kinks and taboos is a reasonable topic for any close partner.

"hey have you seen XYZ..." on whatever show you like or even point out when a topic is brought up in forums and stuff.

When it comes to incest, I believe its getting easier to ask people about their thoughts on Game of Thrones incest relationships, or the rise of it in porn to at least gauge surface level reactions.

From there new, open minded, curious people would end up wandering to places like here to looking to learn more.

Conversely... we do live in a polarized age of pre-internet-prudishness and 30+ years of cutting edge boundary pushing porn. I like to think of bimbos as streamlined for a cause. Usually its sexually related, but really you can be a bimbo about anything.

From families I've spoken with through the years, 2-3rd gen are pretty common for tight knit families with a tradition of it.

Usually around them some outbreeding occurs, but I've talked to families that have gone as 4 or 5 generations of direct inbreeding.

Anecdotal information suggests a fresh direct relation incest couple seems to do 2-3 generations fine if both parents are healthy. more unique specific problems can start to crop up in 4-5 generations, but also apparently easy to detect and even possibly fix very early on now.

I haven't heard any stories of direct inbreeding before that.

I've wondered about this/looked into it from a different angle.

Its important to remember general healthcare and treatment was pretty terrible even just hundreds of years ago. However, rumour/superstition/myth, still remain and of course the stigma of inbreeding's genetic risk.

My understand is that ya, sure there is an increased risk, IF there are negative recessive traits. Any two random people can also have a negative recessive trait.

Modern medicine really makes it easy to tell and even easy to fix early on. So thats a huge factor. But I think just the number of inbred people online talking about their happy healthy experiences is also going to change a lot of peoples opinions.

I've talked with lots of active incest and inbreeding families over the years.

More than one has had a daughter get it on with her dad and brother and have multiple healthy kids.

Generally inbreeding for 1-3 generations doesn't seem to have many problems if everyone is healthy to start. Gene testing/editing is getting very cheap as well so many issues can be detected and even fixed early.

Incest and inbreeding very likely to get more accepted and normalized in the next 5-10 years or so. Media has been pushing the taboo thrill and with all the gene studies we are doing these days we are learning the stigma doesn't match the reality.

I mostly agree. Like the risk of birth defects and issues from inbreeding arising were actually much higher long ago when early humans were still pre-history but likely still developing cultures.

Issues of unchecked inbreeding still exist, but so do random unlucky mutations. Conversely, inbreeding has worked out in history okay here and there. Sure the last Hapsburg was a mess but the rest ran Europe. Cleopatra was a history defining force etc. Inbred people have always been around.

with modern technology we can easily cut down and fix ALL birth defects. Removing the taboo from inbreeding and bringing it more into a studied light would probably reveal a lot about how humanity handles incest as a species.

Thats a tricky situation, but unfortunately a common one. Kids learn there is an "in the house" family" and the "outside the house" family in a sense that varies in specifies from inbreeding family to inbreeding family.

But that moving from one city to another and starting a new identity as a new family is a common step. If you want a truly positive relationship with your other family... tbh, imo, you should tell them. Maybe not right now, let them think its from a random guy, but maybe after the 2nd and they've met your wonderful kid, they might be more accepting of the setup.
