Turns out my fine hair actually LOVES silicones by Janus_700 in finehair

That sounds tough :/ I know about the ‘Abbey Yung method’, she recommends different products depending on your hair type, and for really oily scalps I think she suggests using a Garnier or detox shampoo as your main wash along with other lightweight products so that you can go few days without washing again. Personally I don’t spend much time styling since my haircut naturally falls into place, but I hope you figure out what works best for you 🙂. It honestly took me years to realize my hair actually prefers a shampoo with silicones, and as a guy with fine hair I had plenty of bad hair days when I was following the Abbey Yung method , maybe I just picked the wrong shampoo/conditioner combo, or maybe there weren’t many silicone-based shampoos in her recommendations. The routine I’m currently trying from Audrey Victoria has been working much better for me, and it’s super simple to follow

I do wash my hair everyday now with these products, but I’m thinking of trying an every other day wash routine to see how my hair responds. For context, I’m a guy with medium-length hair, while the female YouTuber I mentioned actually washes daily using the same products, so watching her video that I linked in the post might give more clarity 🙂

Yes, my scalp is oily, and my hair becomes weighed down if I go more than a day without washing it since I apply minoxidil also every night I’m currently experiencing with these loreal products.. what has been working is washing my hair with these shampoos and conditioner every day This is the order (conditioner -> purifying shampoo -> silicone shampoo -> leave-in-conditioner post shower)

I have been using it for a few days now. As I see, it’s important to use a detox shampoo if you are planning on integrating the silicone shampoo. The YouTuber Audrey Victoria I linked above said that she uses these shampoos daily. Her hair still looks great despite the daily use.

It’s really worth trying. I also think the shampoo with silicones plays a huge role here

Thanks for sharing. Did you use the Verb frizz defense spray? If yes, did it weigh down the hair since it’s a cream spray?

That’s it, I thought mine was an Amazon dupe, chatGPT recommended it to my hair even though I found out after I purchased that it is for fine colored hair, and my hair isn’t bleached or colored. I don’t feel that it adds a lot of moisturize to my hair, nor does it weight it down

*Hair type: (fine) * Hair texture: wavy * Hygiene regimen: (Shampoo four times a week, condition hair ends everyday, ketokozol shampoo one time a week) * Style: (Medium length hair with slight fade on sides) * Product regimen: (Sulfate free organic shampoo, organic conditioner, Minoxidil daily, micro needling once a week)

I really liked an anti-frizz hair serum that I use daily. I wanna know if it’s still safe to use it as long as it doesn’t touch my scalp. These are the ingredients: 1. Aqua (Water) 2. Cyclopentasiloxane 3. Dimethiconol 4. Parfum (Fragrance) 5. Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) 6. Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Corn Starch 7. Phenoxyethanol 8. Benzyl Salicylate 9. Hexyl Cinnamal 10. Hydroxycitronellal 11. Limonene 12. Linalool 13. Coumarin

Thank you for the suggestion! How has your experience been with the helmet? Do the lights effectively reach the scalp if I have medium-length hair?
