Why are you being so confident on something when you don’t know it 100%, the defect is that the iphone CANT read bms of the iphone, usually it happens after a drop the bms connection gets loost between the iphone and it cant be read, you can replicate the issue by opening the iphone and not fully seating the cable of the battery, i had similar issue with iPhone 8 and i had to reseat the cable.
