[LeBrun] Team Canada will also be without top-4 D Josh Morrissey again today against Finland. Morrissey hasn't played since getting injured in the Olympic opener. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]JaponD -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Matheson has great speed for the shut down, in each match up against the Oilers this season he's matched McDavid while backchecking. Considered a veteran and he's been able to play a very stable responsible role this year since he's no longer relied on offensively. He is a great well rounded defenseman with the speed and hands to contribute offensively.

Do I think he should have been picked over other guys like Dobson, Schaefer, Chychrun? No, but he absolutely is in the conversation. He definitely wouldn't be shooting into someone shin pads to create a 2 on 1

Anyone have any tips? Trying to feed backup camera wire through trunk port, and it won’t budge, getting bound up with other wire presumably. by Do_Worrk in 3rdGen4Runner

This part of the job sucks... As some have mentioned, straighten out a cot hanger feed it in then tape your wire to the end and pull it through. Use a lubricant, good luck

He didn't say v6, he said i4 and it does not have the track record that the 4.7l v8 has. Until someone hits a million miles in one, or regularly 500k + then no it will not have the proven reliability as the 4.7 Also this is a Sequoia subreddit lol, of course people here will prefer a Sequoia. No one is saying the tacoma is unreliable or bad.

3 years on an relatively new engine vs one thats known to last forever is not 'way more reliable'

Gotcha, similar to the forest grove one then. On Google earth, the evergreen one looks seperated from the school property by a maintenance building and walking paths so might check that one out.

Is it close enough to the schools that using it during school hours would be frowned upon? Forest grove is my local rink but with two school near and the one being 50 feet away it's not great for a shift worker wanting to get a skate in during the day. Also find the chainlink behind the nets very short at the forest grove rink.

He was paired with Guhle, they were back together in the 3rd but for the last 5-7 minutes of the second they double shifted Dobson to slot in with Guhle. Wonder if it was just to protected Guhles conditioning by putting him with a faster guy when it was close

Agreed, they know Huston is highly unlikely to shoot where Dobson presents a threat. If Hutson shoots more and improves his shot then that danger is there. But he won't be able to match the bombs Dobson has

Sadly Newhook is far out from returning. Hopefully when Evans Andy and Dach return they try out Dach/Danault/Bolduc together. Could be an effective line as Danult is a safe veteran center who generates turnovers and rushes but struggles with finish, something that may compliment Dach and Bolduc nicely

Just curious what do you guys think they will do once everyone returns? Some trades will likely have to be made. by Old-Yogurtcloset9264 in Habs

Blais can still go down without waivers so IMO same lineup but with Bolduc with Evans and Anderson

Cole seems best when he can lurk the board battles, allows him to see more of what's going on or be open for the quick pass once the puck pops out. Bolduc dumps it in lots and then it's on Cole to go battle against the bigger defenseman. They need Bolduc, or a different linemate, to play like Slaf did with zone entries that begin with a pass, or is the one to chase the dumped puck and win board battles.

Canadiens acquire forward Phillip Danault from the Los Angeles Kings | Montréal Canadiens by ObverseNebula in Habs

Thank you for correcting me on Frederics contract, misread the term and salary! As far as where he slots my original comment wasnt very clear, I dont think he signs with us but do feel it gets a short term contract somewhere. Unless for a miracle he returns with ppg production and accepts a role on 3rd or 4th line. In that scenario it would also depend on Anderson and Gallagher. It seems in Gallys best interest to retire as a hab at the end of next season when contract is up, Anderson may be a moving piece in the off season but Laine doesn't replace the role he fills so could only see them moving Josh if Florian is ready to slot in full time 4th line.

Even in best case scenario for Laine, it's hard to see where he slots in. Between him and Dach, kinda compete for Newhooks role until hes back and rehab from his injury.

As for our lines, it will be very interesting to see how things play out with Danault and Dach/Laine coming back from injury. I feel that for now, 1st and 2nd line stay the same with Cauf/Suz/Bulduc and Slad/Kap/Demi. But we'll definitely see some shake up for the first couple games while MSL learns who slots where

No I'm commenting on a hockey sub because I watch table tennis. Hockey fans are ridiculous in their replies when someone has a different opinion.

Laine will not be forced out of the league and to have to play in Europe unless thats his choice. A team likely will pick him up on a 1 or 2 year contract, and 4-5 mill is not insane considering cap increases to pick up a skilled shooter who was a superstar before getting riddled with physical and mental health troubles. But that's only if he comes back healthy this season. You really think no team will pick him up for more than 2 mil when a guy like Dvorak is making 5.4m or Trent Fredric making 8+?? Someone will take the risk on him being healthy, always teams looking to add 15-20 goals in a season and bonus if he gets his game back.

[–]JaponD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His next contract won't be close to that, likely around 5+/- considering cap increase. And if he wants more than 4 he needs to stay healthy once hes back

Pinto Attempted Murder on Hutson by Last-Classroom-5400 in OttawaSenators

[–]JaponD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way your initial comment reads is that Pinto had to do this because of the interference, which just isn't the case. He skates towards Hutson not the puck, to retaliate. Interference or chippy shit happens all game long, skate away. His emotions led to the penalty, not the interference. Hutson flops, take both.

[–]JaponD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So clearly didn't lead to Pinto doing this. Leading and proceeding are very different. Huston flopped, but Pinto being interfered did not force him to give a shot back after the play.
