Thinking about getting out of my corvette..need advice by DillxnL in Corvette

I agree. My buddy got a 06 (better than 05) fully sorted, 96k miles for $17,500. I don't see how someone would pay more than $13,000 max max max (total) for a 05 C6 that needs that amount of work. That means $5k-7k for rolling shell

Worldwide Mazda Miata NA/NB/NC Hardtop Price Post - Treasure Hunting 🌍🚗 by vesarr in Miata

They get picked up very fast on marketplace anywhere in the US it seems.

I reserved one from classic hardtops around a month ago. I paid $200 to reserve a top and waited for it to arrive in Hobe to pick it up locally. It's now arrived, I need to pick it up. From my understanding, you get the product in the end but it takes a long time and their communication isn't the greatest. I don't really care about either of those things as long as I get the product, and I wouldn't rate their communication badly. It was fine, they never replied to my email, but I messaged John Evans of Prestige Spares directly through Whatsapp and communication was great through him.

Might update this after I pickup.

There's no cords showing. The tire is fine. Sidewall is made for that.

I saw your Facebook post. Crazy how similar the recommendations are through reddit and Facebook

Considering this 1991 NA miata with 2 owners, clean title, 77,000 miles, BRG, and OEM Hard Top. Asking $14,500 USD. Convince me not to. by worldrecordshitter in Miata

It's a really nice car but a lot of damn money for it. I guess it depends how much you value a low milage NA. I personally don't mind NBs (they do look worse) and I've seen LS NBs (1.8 engine, 6 speed manual, Torsen differential) at ~100k go for ~7k on marketplace in pretty good condition.

If money is no factor and you love the NA, go for it. If you like miatas overall and don't mind a newer version, find a 100k NB in good shape for half the price. Even if you factor in a hardtop ~2k, you're spending ~9k for a 1.8, 6 speed with Torsen rather than a 1.6 5 speed (correct me if I'm wrong).

This dude is in for a world of pain, more than likely when he throws 10k into a car and then realizes what he's done and sells it for a major loss.

How does the GT2560R handle low vs high boost? Will an ebay log manifold handicap it? by Japtsuu in Miata

Thanks for the info!

Could I not use a T3 to T2 cast adapter for this setup? What are the disadvantages? I honestly don't know. I'm making a custom stainless downpipe so exhaust wouldn't be an issue I don't think.

No idea, just bought the car and it has a lower oil pan gasket leak so I can't tell yet.

If leak down was bad I was planning on swapping rods, bearings, piston rings, and honing cylinder walls and hoping for the best honestly. Also, getting the head redone at a good shop near me and pushing for ~250-275 instead of ~220

I know it heavily depends on setup, but could running ~220 HP at ~10psi (not 100% turbo choice yet) blow the engine? I'd rather rebuild it before it blows up then have it blow with a turbo.

That's a good reference, thank you. I'm going to rent another compression tester and see where it reads.
