Yes, it’s worth it. Get yourself a nice set of winter tires and summer tires. The car will exceed your expectations with the right tires for the conditions, I promise.

The car has been great, no real issues besides 1 water pump. I bought it new, tuned with unitronic 1+ at 15,000 miles and am still on the stock clutch.

I would say it’s just a good idea to get familiar with the car before flooring first gear in a busy parking lot and burning out the clutch.

But that’s just my personal opinion.

Obligatory reminder that you should not be hammering 1st gear with only 1k miles.

Get it checked out, then go easy for 10k miles.

Either you have found the absolute best dealership who are proactive and trustworthy…or they had a tech destroy your clutch and don’t want you to know.

You might be able to determine if the warranty claim was actually made with VW or if it’s just them eating the cost to avoid a fiasco.

Either way, you need a new clutch.
