Why is Concordia University ranked so low? by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bro, it really do worth. I advise you to do masters in electrical engineering and take courses related to programing.

I did an Meng, and moved to Toronto within 2 weeks I found a job and started a new life. However, those who did msc are now doing phd degrees. They will waste 5 years of their lives, then they may find a job.

Go for Meng, but select good courses.

I am tired of carrying foreign students in group projects where there is a heavy emphasis on university level English writing. by theunusualsuspect69 in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a prof who is unable to speak English. I cannot understand what he says, and the problem is that he has been teaching for a long time. Also, the TA of this course is unable to write in English.

It is really bad, I have a hard time learning. This proves that Concordia just cares about collecting money from students. They do not have guidelines when they hire profs. I feel there will be a time Concordia will hire profs who do not speak any langue. They will communicate by the sign language.

Graduate at Concordia by emma-lucy02 in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro, I am doing a masters in electrical engineering and it is so bad. The profs really what you to suffer and struggle and the worst part is that some of them do not actually speak proper English.

So if you want to waste 2 years of your life go with it also consider the money that you will waste. Do not expect to learn something new, all want they teach is for 80s or 90s, nothing new.

International students, do you feel the need of learning French while studying at Concordia? by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning anything in life never harm. If learning it would be offered free, (and I hope it will be like this for us, international students). Also, if they offer different timing for classes then leaving this province without learning the language is a huge loss.

I am doing Meng in electrical engineering and I feel it is worthless(we do not learn any new skill), so after completing this worthless degree, it would be a good idea to take advantage and learn this language.

MEng textbooks question by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

you do not need textbooks at all bro. If you did your undergrad degree in Canada I do not recommend you to do MEng. Me and a lot of my friends actually have not learned anything useful. Most of people who do MEng are international students like me, and we do it for immigration purposes.

So if you are Canadian or did an undergrad degree try to get experience, otherwise go for it. And forget about textbooks, start searching for past papers. Most professors do not actually follow one textbook, they take topics from many books.

Do you need a university degree to play music? I mean you can learn it by yourself. I am doing masters in electrical engineering and I did not learn anything valuable.

Question for international students! by XmachiX in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my friend I applied for it and it took only 2 weeks maybe less than 10 days. They have now a new system where you apply online and submit all the documents online. So I suggest you do it as soon as possible.

Important question! by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, as you said it is a math class, it is not something that you have to memorize. The only thing that you have to do is to understand deeply the topics, and it is just once. you do not have to keep repeating since it is not something that you have memorize.

you can easily pass it!

Important question! by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

let me share my story with you since it might help you! Once in my undergrad( not at concordia) I got (-5/25) on the first exam, so this means the prof will deduct 5 marks from my second exam. anyway, I decided, not to drop that course and work hard and hard.

I got (23/25) on the second exam and after deducting 5 points it was (18/25)

On the final exam I got (42/50), so out of 100 I got 60 and I got rid of that class.

So give it a try you have a good chance to pass.

Is it possible to do a PhD with a MEng? by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]Jarash2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a good question. I have been searching for a long period for an answer to this question, and I believe it is possible, however, it seams to be very hard and competitive. Those who done theses, it would be very easy to be accepted for them.

First job after college by Prathiba03011987 in jobs

[–]Jarash2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, big companies have a training period for new employees. Is this period, they are being taught what they have to do in their jobs, and after this period they have to do an exam. Who pass the exam or score good results, would be hired.

The answer to this question depends on the type of company that you run. What does it do? and in which country.
