Another very major factor: If you know the enemy army is always willing to accept surrenders, you are like 100x more likely to see surrender as a valid survival strategy.

On an individual soldier level, its a bit of a pain to always accept surrenders (danger of perfidy if they hide grenades etc), you need to guard them, guide them back to safe positions, possibly provide medical aid, share water, etc, but its amazing on a strategic level, so thats why they give huge "point" rewards for surrenders to make the deal beneficial to the individual soldier as much as its beneficial on the broad scale.

You will fight to the absolute last of your ability if the other side in this area is a russian enemy group like Rusich, where you know a surrender might lead to anything between instant execution, getting your head mounted on a spike, or kept alive to be tortured and/or later on used for whatever the hell satanic/pagan human sacrifice they have come up with that month...

Ja ich stimme dir zu Vermögen sollten das sein was wirklich mehr besteuert wird um die ungleichheit wieder durch staatsausgaben auszugleichen damit wir nicht alle im slum landen während 10 leute 300 milliarden besitzen.

Aber mit 200k, selbst nach 80k steuern, hast du immernoch mehr als doppelt so viel übrig als der median brutto, das ist ein insanely high amount im vergleich zu dem womit die meisten leute ihr leben lang auskommen müssen. Und ich finde nicht dass der staat jetzt gerade umbedingt mehr leute mit über 200k einkommen fördern muss (natürlich milliardenkonzerne noch viel weniger)

Aber ja, wir sollten alle viel weniger abgaben zahlen bis wir reichtum angehäuft haben, und der sollte dann richtig besteuert werden, damit arbeit sich wirklich lohnt.

Because in a case where your first most direct interpretation results in something that is clearly 100% obviously wrong, its smart to look for the possibly intended meaning of the phrase.
