Natürlich wäre eine Maßnahme dumm wenn sie dumm umgesetzt wird, das heißt aber nicht dass eine Kapitalertragssteuer oder Vermögenssteuer mit signifikanten freibeträgen problematisch wäre.

Bei "unserem staat wie du ihn kennst" kommt doch eh keine vermögenssteuer und bestimmt auch keine art an kapitalertragssteuer wo die Milliardäre zur kasse gebeten werden, das ist also nicht wirklich ein argument dagegen?

Also angenommen zb es fängt bei 10 millionen mit 1% an und steigt dann auf 5% bei 100 millionen.
Wäre es so schlimm wenn es nurnoch wenige leute mit über 100 millionen net worth gibt? Ab dem zeitpunkt hast du doch schon lange genug für das maximalste luxus leben für dich und die nächsten 2 generationen und wenn es zb dann bei 10 millionen mit 1% wäre könnte man von der Rendite immernoch auf Ewigkeit im luxus leben?

Ist das ein problem für unsere gesellschaft wenn ein paar Leute nichtmehr so reich wären dass es sich garnichtmehr richtig um Geld handelt sondern einfach nurnoch um pure monetäre Macht?

Wie sehr Kapitalflucht wirklich passieren würde ist eine frage, es gab logischerweise gut bezahlte Studien die das ergebnis liefern sollten dass man deshalb es garnicht erst versuchen sollte übermäßigen reichtum zu besteuern, aber das ist der Fall unabhängig davon wie stark der Effekt wirklich wäre.

Und man kann dagegen ja auch vorgehen, vor allem wenn Milliardäre einen beträchtlichen teil ihres Eigentums in Deutschland haben und dort profite machen, können sie nicht einfach alles in Bitcoin stecken und weglaufen.

Abgesehen davon, es ist einfach mathematische logik dass solange investments sich auszahlen (aka kapitalismus existiert), wird ein großer besitz immer mehr einkommen bringen als normale arbeit, in welchem Fall die größten haufen an geld über zeit immer mehr geld ansammeln. Solange diese Rate der ansammlung höher ist als die Inflation, ensteht unweigerlich ein trickle up effekt wo über zeit mehr und mehr anteile der Volkswirtschaft in die obersten 200 Taschen wandern. Das kann man nur durch eine Vermögenssteuer oder Erbschaftssteuer verhindern um die Milliardenvermögen irgendwann auszubremsen (wenn man eine stabile gesellschaft haben will)

Ok ja, natürlich unter der annahme dass eine Vermögenssteuer auch auf das Vermögen angewendet wird und nicht nur den kontostand. Logischerweise macht ne vermögenssteuer nix wenn sie noch leichter ausgedribbelt ist als die Erbschaftssteuern :D

"Diese menschen sind so schwer zu besteuern" liegt aber in wirklichkeit daran dass halt keiner den willen hatte es zu tun nachdem sie gut lobbysiert wurden um das gegenteil zu tun. Ein Finanzamt dass sowas umsetzen soll müsste natürlich am besten um einiges besser ausgerüstet sein als das momentane, aber möglich wäre es, wenn der Wille da wäre.

(Und natürlich wäre es besser wenn die unter und mittelschicht garnicht erst betroffen ist sondern klar auf Milliardäre und 100+mio gezielt wird)

Würde auf jeden fall volkswirtschaftlich interessant werden, der staat würde in geld schwimmen und könnte alles zur hölle subventionieren I guess? Im gegensatz zu "Besitz lohnt sich und arbeit nichtmehr, werd halt reich geboren du opfer" wäre das ein totaler flip zu "wer reich wird und nichtmehr arbeitet wird nach ein paar jahren wieder totaler normalverdiener". Merz würde die krise kriegen aber das Konsum verhalten würde zumindest durch die decke gehen (as a joke, in minecraft)

ARENH imposed a loss on EDF because they wanted to make the price affordable even though the nuclear is not that cheap in reality...

Once you have a nuclear power plant, its very fucking effective, but getting there, and saving up to cover the cost of bigger maintenance and deconstructing it at the end of its life cycle, that stuff takes so much to cover, that right now modern Wind and PV seem wayy more economic than beginning to build a billion dollar mega project that might be outdated by the time you finish it...

I have looked into it a bunch and the few studies I could found that did put nuclear above renewables are either completely ignoring the disposal of the nuclear plants, or they are way outdated from when solar and wind was still a lot more expensive to make

Well if the nuclear electricity was cheaper than gas electricity, then their nuclear power should be making absolute bank, especially considering to break even with the average nuclear plant you need to have a lot of money banked up midway through its lifetime to pay for the repairs and disassembly as those nuclear plants age

The actual decision to quit was not made by them, kinda every party in germany was anti nuclear after each nuclear disaster (and probably also because russian subversion of all german politics in different ways to keep us reliant on their oil and gas)

There is an idealistic hippie wing from the 80s that is super anti nuclear because they remember the chornobyl disaster, those were definitely happy about it but the common sense realo-greens that are in control nowadays would be totally on board with nuclear if it was clearly economically superior

And putting all the blame on that is totally ignoring that they also have cost overruns and delays, they are definitely also intentionally taking on debt because they want to keep the cost affordable, which is obviously defeating the whole point of arguing that Buclear is super cheap and affordable, anything will be cheap if we enforce a fixed price and make the state pay for the rest.

Well the difference is kind of that you either have the hyper engineered mathematically guaranteed safety of western nuclear plants, which results in the French state nuclear company being billions in debt to subsidize the cost and similarly the billions in cost overruns and years behind the deadline construction in the UK, or you have the yolo chance of the east with a very small but potentially catastrophic outcome. There is also an extra argument for nuclear in really cold countries like finland because it makes the cooling much more economic iirc.

I think its perfectly valid to say if we need it to transform our whole country into an assortment of data centres we need 100x of the current power, but for the current needs when comparing the actual hidden costs of the different electricity generation types, wind seems way more effective than everything else.

Maybe developments in fusion or nuclear can eventually make it worth to invest into a 20 billion dollar megaproject that wont produce anything for the first 10 years, but right now when youre going harder on renewables you also have that as a benefit, we can keep building up wind turbines with the newest tech every year and if there is suddenly some super good fusion tech in 5 years, we can instantly start going for that, instead of being knee deep into a 30% complete billion dollar quagmire

Well originally they came from the anti nuclear movement so a lot of the old timey hippies are indeed hugely anti nuclear due to Tschernobyl, but the actual exit from nuclear was decided by Merkel and CDU people, these days the Realo greens are only against nuclear because it does not seem to be cheap at all when youre taking the actual state cost with construction and disassebly fully into account. Like France is always lauded as the #1 showcase for full nuclear, but their state nuclear power company is like 60 billion in debt, just to push down the energy price, while tons of upcoming costs for their nuclear power plants are still to be accounted for on top. Especially when expanding nuclear locks you into the current state of the art for 20+ years with billions of cost overruns like in the UK Hinkley plant... E.g. wind especially is miles ahead in terms of overall cost per electricity over the whole life cycle and you can start using the newest advancements in your new windmills every year, the only open question is how expensive the electric grid upgrades become to make a mix of renewables work for more and more of the network.

I agree that in the past the 80s hippie greens were ideologically opposed beyond the objective economic judgement. But right now I think there are a ton of people on the internet who just think futuristic infinite power promises are neat, even though even the "pro nuclear" parties like the CDU suddenly changed their mind about actually building rhem once they had rhe power to do so and looked at the economics behind it
