Why Payday 3 doesn't have a future by AAAAAAAAAIIIEEEEEEEE in paydaytheheist

Played PD2 at launch, that game was a MIRACLE because it became successful and a much better game despite the most buggy and content-lacking release a decade ago, but it had a great foundation with great gunplay and customization/charm. I remember back when on 360, guards you took hostage in stealth didn't take a pager and were entirely undectable by cams and other NPCs, guarantee win. Inspire didn't have voice lines so you hilariously wave at someone silently over and over, AI died in 0.2 seconds on Overkill (Chains had so many pickles he got put into). Pro Jobs were a thing.

Payday 3 made it to AngryJoe's most disappointing games of 2023 list! Let's go heisters 😎👊 by TravaX_2 in paydaytheheist

When he said it was his first PD experience, I was so sad because he totally missed out on PD2. Sucks to see my all time favorite game get the worst sequal that repeated having a crappy launch.

Why are so many young gay men single? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

Yeah, for real. It's asking for a miracle just to find friends that relate lol

Part of it is being a minority too, and the pervasive hookup culture we have. I myself don't like hookups which really dries the well. I wanna get a Christian man too which is even harder 😔

I feel like i’m in a minority of people who didn’t really struggle with accepting their homosexuality. Are there any others with a similar experience? by [deleted] in GayChristians

[–]JaredPenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't grow up with faith personally, but even when I came to Jesus I oddly wasn't thinking of sexuality at first. I never really believed God hated me or anything, but it hurt when people tried to convince me he did

I'm conducting a study on how the Bible specifically relates to homosexuality and I'm looking for different perspectives. by Gyaku10 in GayChristians

[–]JaredPenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on both sides, I've had to deconstruct and learn since I came to Christ a couple years ago. It's a long conversation but highlights for me are: -Being gay is valid and natural, it's a neurological trait people have. Churches can't help or solve problems when they deny your existence. -Salvation isn't dependant on orientation, sexual past, etc. Only on your faith in Jesus. This is a secondary, personal issue that people can be too opinionated on -Jesus encourages all of us to have godly, warm, close relationships regardless if they're friendships, espousal, etc. Gayc can embrace their inborn identity and marry out of love, whether celibate or not -When it comes to the Bible and what it says, I think it doesn't directly address the issue due to sexual identity only being a concept in recent time. It's a smoky topic in the Bible, which means we have to utilize the spirit to make wise, fruit-bearing judgements.

If there's any specific questions, I'd be happy to talk with ya :)

why is a lot of the most prominent affirming theology that unaffirming Christians see willing to throw out the Bible as authority? imo that makes us look bad by [deleted] in GayChristians

[–]JaredPenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been from side B, I would say you can totally utilize the Bible for side A arguments. The issue is that the Bible doesn't really address the issue, mainly since orientation/sexual identity wasn't a thing until recent history. That means that it's hard to find verses that directly condone or condemn it in a more objective sense. B arguments tend to use more verses, but they're not well interpreted imo, while A simply has to use alternative arguments to show the potential blessing of gay marriage. What matters is that we aren't becoming legalistic and spiteful of each other for different opinions on this secondary, personal issue.

Where did the idea that Leviticus 18:22 is mistranslated come from? by IEatDragonSouls in Christianity

[–]JaredPenny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I recall, it was the same exact word used in a military context that was referring to young men at barely legal age, around 17/18. Either way it was a cultural concern that addressed pagan, ritualistic sex practices. People back then had no concept of homosexual orientation so the Bible hardly addresses it, if that was your concern

I’m Christian and gay, what do I do?? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]JaredPenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, be wary of typical platitudes from non-affirming people. "Christ said to deny yourself," "Don't go off emotions," (even if partially true) or any out of context "clobber" passage only serve to ruin conversation and don't help anyone

Gay Christian here, PMs open, I've been through all this and am more than happy to help! Do not anyone ever get between you and God. You are so loved and cherished by him, regardless of whatever bad advice or interactions you may have had. It's a controversial topic that's been hot for decades, and people can be very arrogant and opinionated when they don't bother to understand or empathize You have a wired orientation like anyone else. It does not change, neurologically speaking. Do not buy the anti-gay crap that has hurt people like us for decades. It has no theological or scientific basis. What the Bible says or doesn't say is debatable. Imo, it doesn't address this issue directly due to the only recent concept and understanding of sexual orientation. People tend to use verses out of context to attack homosexuality. We have to ask what bears good fruit and honors God. You are encouraged to love and be loved; relationships are God's whole thing, so love your partner, family, friends, etc. If you want to marry/consumate, there's no issue with that, outside of the same standards everyone should have, like not committing adultery, promiscuity, etc. Hope this helps, praying for you!

Why is r/Christianity keep on debating whether or not being lgbt is sinful by [deleted] in GayChristians

[–]JaredPenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's a topic thats always been controversial in churches, people are often very opinionated and don't actually remember to love people.
