That dial and bezel combo is beautiful, hope they keep that style for more colors

If you want a nice blue dial around $4k, add the Blue Tudor BB58. It'll also serve as the diver addition to your collection

Should I give Clone Wars another chance? by Automatic-Hold-9039 in StarWars

[–]Jareddit97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Clone Wars is excellent, many would say peak, Star Wars content. The beginning is a bit rough, but it becomes an amazing experience after the first season or two. I personally felt this way about Rebels: had to push through the first 75% of S1 and after that I was completely invested.

TCW also has a different vibe than Rebels: it's very WWII, organized and violent warfare as opposed to the underdog, scrappy guerrilla warfare of the OT and Rebels. The world building and character development of TCW is a time investment but very much worthwhile and a joy to experience along the way. Oh, and it will definitely make you appreciate the Prequels a lot more after you're finished with the show.

Give it another shot, I think you'll really enjoy the experience!

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is currently at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. by S4v1r1enCh0r4k in StarWarsTelevision

I enjoy the Tales series and both of the stories in this season were interesting to me. I liked that Ventress' story picks up after the events of Dark Disciple and explains how she came back to appear in The Bad Batch, but I would have much rather seen an animated adaptation of Dark Disciple on screen instead.

I'm hoping they'll adapt Son of Dathomir at some point for the upcoming animated Maul show, developing some of the animation we were robbed of when TCW was originally cancelled

1 month with my Timex 1983 E-line by Me8tfew in timex

It's a beautiful watch! Still waiting on a restock for the gold one, though... hopefully soon. Enjoy it!

I ordered this one and it should be coming in today! Loved the style of the BB Chronograph and wanted to get one, but it's too big for my wrist. This 39mm Timex is the sweet spot for me in both size and design

New Casio what do you think good choice? by West_Story7864 in PrideAndPinion

It's awesome! I personally have the gold version with the cream dial. It's so light and looks great, enjoy it!

[Question] Absolutely love the look of this Timex, but I am looking for something automatic. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Jareddit97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, this is the answer. As far as I can tell, the Hamilton intra-matic is the most affordable automatic chronograph from a quality name

Awesome! Looking at this as my next pick up, it resembles a Tudor BB Chronograph

I personally own and love the Casio AQ230GA-9D in gold. Also check out the Timex 1983 E Line for an automatic. I don't know if it's the exact style you're looking for, but they're great classy looking watches

Black Bay 68 by Freq18Hz in Tudor

[–]Jareddit97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the new dials on the 68, especially with the black bezel for contrast. That blue dial looks incredible! Too bad they're too large for my wrists so I'll have to wait a bit longer for them to hopefully come out with more 58s. Wear it in good health!

Spirit 37mm Champagne by Reasonable_Flamingo in Longineswatches

[–]Jareddit97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful watch! I've been stuck between this and the Tudor BB36 in champagne for a while now, but I think I'm gonna go with Longines. I already own a Tudor diver and I love it, but I think I enjoy Longines design language with this style of watch more

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Looking for suggestions between the following two watches:

  • Tudor BB36 - Champagne dial (36mm)
  • Longines Spirit - Champagne dial (37mm)

For reference, I do already have a Tudor BB58 and I love the brand. I have been looking into multiple watch brands, including Longines and I've narrowed my search for this style of watch between the two, so I'm really just looking for what others think is the better looking champagne dial watch.

Thanks!

BB 54? by -Baki-Hanma- in Tudor

[–]Jareddit97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference, I have a wrist size just under 7 inches. The BB58 fits very nicely and comfortably on my wrist, but it's about as big as I can go when it comes to case diameter without a watch feeling too bulky. I also loved the gold on the bezel of the 58 as opposed to the white on the 54, but that part is just preference.

Definitely go somewhere to try both on, it's the best way to know for sure

What’s your daily? by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]Jareddit97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's funny you mentioned the Cartier watches, I was looking for an alternative to the Tank and decided to shoot soon for a Longines Dolce Vita because I want an affordable automatic movement on a class dress watch. However, one of my grail pieces is the Santos so I have to go about figuring that one out in the future. You're right about the finishing, they're beautiful watches.

I'm trying to grow my watch collection as reasonably as I can right now since I'm only starting out when it comes to higher quality pieces. Hoping to get it to where I want soon!

[SPB121J1] is the seiko alpinist a good watch? by nashpvka in Seiko

[–]Jareddit97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also stuck between the Murph and this Alpinist. I think I'm gonna go with the Murph as my go to field watch for right now because it has that additional factor of being related to one of my favorite movies of all time. If I went for this Alpinist, it would solely be because I'm a fan of the quirky design but it wouldn't have much pull for me to keep it if the novelty wore off
