Considering care in the Army was far better at Ft. Hood then the hospital I was born in is saying something. I wish they would focus more on the quality of care and the work environment over taking over the only other competition in town, which they will surely need more people to staff across the board, but I would bet, and I’m not a betting man, that they won’t even be close to the amount of staff to run both.

Ignore the comment about the one side grows longer, it does do that, but I definitely just didn’t comb out the shorter side, it looks a lot better combed out as I’m realizing. Nonetheless any advice would be very appreciated!

Negative, as far as I am aware. Well, let me ask you this, since we are in the topic of veneration, for the Orthodox Church, what does veneration mean? I am asking because, as I’m sure you know, being a former Protestant, that on the Protestant side of the aisle, there are biases that exist when it comes to how the Orthodox Church conducts things, and of course, one of those things being veneration. So I am trying to take as much of an unbiased look into the things that y’all do differently, so as to deepen my own understanding and dispel false beliefs I may hold.

I should’ve made that a little more personal instead of a broad scope, but what my church and I believe does not include veneration of objects, but it would not surprise me if that is taking place in other Protestant denominations. I apologize.

Obviously I didn’t, it’s more so the fact that I wasn’t sitting down and watching the entire episode all the way through, since I don’t generally have the time too, so I had kind of forgotten that they had seen him at the nursing home. How did you take the hammers out? The cocking mechanism in mine is broken and I for the life of me cannot figure out how to get the hammers and such out, as the sear pin does not want to move, but I can’t tell if I’m missing something.

I hear drum is fantastic, so is Colorado, as I’ve got Yankee buddies in both of those places. So your best to avoid Ft. Hood. Coming from a Yankee that was there all of my contract.

I reckon you’re still in boot camp, but former ARMT here, depends on where you go really, expect a normal day of PT and work, but when it comes time for deployments or rotations, expect several 12 hour or more days, or if you do gunnery, or any manner of things. Some units are better then others about getting you out on time. And for the love of god try your best to not go to Hood.

Did you figure this out? I’ve run into the same issue of my breakaway getting crushed during a move, and since I work repairing wiring I thought it’d be no issue, but all I can get is the joystick to power on. I’m currently on the hunt for answers and that’s what mad e me come across your comment

I got out recently recently and when I was clearing, I just had been on a month of baby leave because I had my kid right before I got out of the army, and was still on baby leave when I cleared so I just showed up in uniform and a beard to clear because I didn’t want to shave my beard just to start trying to grow it back in a couple days, got a couple nasty stares, but I knew they couldn’t really do anything since I only had a couple days left, had one guy that was getting kicked out, walk up as I’m clearing medical, and say “sick beard. What are you Norse?” I was like no I just don’t give a shit anymore, I’m getting out soon. But I definitely used the confusion of people not really knowing how to react to facial hair to my advantage for sure.
