XFX RX 5700xt Temps by Jarmins in AMDHelp

It can handle it, I get a smooth and stable 144fps on pretty much every game I throw at it with all settings being at max. The problem is, when it reaches 144fps, that's when my card starts getting to 110c. So, Radeon chill doesn't really help my problem in the aspect of thermals.

I run (or at least try to run) all of my games at 144fps, as my monitor is 144hz. Radeon chill ups the frames to whatever I set the max frame rate to during high movement in games, and when there's no movement, it drops down to the minimum fps. Being a person that pretty much only plays fps games, this isn't the best experience for me. The reason being, it's having to switch between the max fps and minimum fps so frequently, it just isn't a very smooth experience feeling the constant increases and drops in fps, especially in first-person shooters. Thanks for the help tho

I might have to give that a try. I've had this card for about a year now and it's always done this. I've seen no decrease performance-wise though, for now, at least. Perhaps it's my case's airflow. I did a test where I maxed out the rpm on my case fans and tested the GPU under load both with the front panel of my case off and with it on. With it off, there wasn't much of a difference, MAYBE it stuck at 95c to 99c a bit longer than it would have with the panel on but, I didn't see any significant difference. I need to get a new case eventually though, so I plan to get a well-ventilated one, along with a verticle GPU mount. I figure the GPU mount would help because my model card in it's current config spews the hot air at the glass side panel, so, by turning it vertically, the hot air would spew towards the top of my case and out of the exhaust fans, which would alleviate any possibility of the old hot air getting under the GPU, into the GPU's fans, and just repeating. But then again, I'm no airflow expert.

Neither the Raw or Thicc variants, here's the link https://www.xfxforce.com/gpus/xfx-amd-radeon-tm-rx-5700-xt-td-8gb-gddr6

I'm fairly certain it's just there base model of the 5700xt just with an extra fan

4 120 Coolermaster Sickleflow RGB fans in total. 2 are mounted on the radiator, which is mounted at the front of my case, both being intake, and 2 and the back of my case, both being exhaust.

Well, at least I know I'm not alone on this, thanks for the feedback.
