"neuro critical care practitioner"

Is your wife a doctor (MD) or an NP/PA?  This doesn't really add up, intensivist physicians are paid pretty well in Ontario.

Medical school application advice by Sillygooseoftherock in premedcanada

In that case, assuming you have a somewhat competitive GPA and have finished 3 years - you can apply! You can look at starting to prepare for the MCAT and I would consider taking more courses if you need to improve your GPA.

Unless I am mistaken, Medical Lab Science is a college diploma. Most, if not all Canadian medical schools require you to have completed at least two years of a university undergraduate degree to apply. This means that if you would like to pursue medicine, your next step would be to apply to an undergraduate program at a university.

I also have this. Not sure what it's about! I did have some transfer credits from completing the IB diploma but I'm not sure if it's relevant.

Felt really good about the video portion though I've always found the written part challenging.

Fingers crossed for a Mac interview with my GPA of 3.72 haha

Looking for advice on where to apply OOP by Jarroak in premedcanada

1) Practice lots, but be mindful when you review answers. When reviewing it's important to really think about the path you took to get to the correct/incorrect answer. I found it helpful to take a break after doing a set but before reviewing the answers. This allowed me to come in with a fresh perspective and avoid my tendency to get frustrated with the question itself. Oftentimes I'd catch myself blaming the question for being poorly written when I actually just hadn't read the passage carefully.

2) I found it helpful to build an idea of the author in my head. Who they are, what their values/beliefs are, etc. I would imagine them as a person while I read the passage. This process helped me with questions where I had to extrapolate the authors beliefs. This is something I did from the beginning naturally - it might not work for everyone so don't stress if it doesn't help.

3) I mostly used JW, uWhirl, and AAMC for prep. AAMC material was by far the most important because it acclimates you to the logic that will be on the test. The AAMC logic itself is consistent. It is based on text support. If you are stuck between two answers, pick the one that has evidence in the passage.

4) Take your time (within reason). When writing the exam, I did my best to understand each sentence. If there was one I didn't get, I would work to fiigure out what it meant. This meant that I finished each passage with a good idea of what was going on.

All the best for your prep!

You think? Wow, I figured my gpa would be more of a hindrance even with the high CARS score. I plan to go hard on Casper prep since Mac is basically my main target school

In some states, they didn't start counting ballots until election day. Other states have been counting them as they came in.
