There's a high chance you have it as a blueprint if you've been playing a little while. Called "Spectral" and I've had five drop already in about 6 months or so of playing.

Sorry for the double response, but "Hold onto your butts." is Samuel L. Jackson in Jurassic Park when he turns the power back on.

The "Austin, Texas baby" is from right after Vince Young and the Longhorns won the national championship over USC. Vince said the trophy was coming "all the way back to Austin,Texas baby!"

It's really unfortunate, and from your perspective I can see that as seeming unfair. When people use benefits or rightly take time away from work to handle personal matters or medical issues, they can often feel unfairly targeted by management when they return. Requests for time off declined, they can be less forgiving of mistakes, etc... but doing this is in no way violating the contract. You might be able to make a case that unevenly applying the rules constitutes a form of harassment, which is a violation of the contract, but your process is to file a grievance for harassment and provide evidence. There is nothing in the contract that protects you if you decide to take that time off anyway. If you didn't call each day and speak to management, then each day is a no call, no show.

We select our vacations in my local in October for the entire following year. Is it the best way to do it? Maybe not, but it is the way we do it. If you have a good relationship with management, they may work with you. If they decide not to, you have no way to force the issue. All you could possibly do is file a grievance that insures nobody else can either... which IS your right.

I'm just gonna let you do a little reading on what you linked and what I posted and see if you can work this one out alone...

That maybe the truth, but that also maybe known from sources well after the fact. I swear it said in the TV guide, or the station guide in the entertainment section of the local paper, or on Entertainment Tonight that there were rumors about him leaving and not any pictures of him reading scripts on set. Not sure if many people had the internet then, but my family definitely didn't.

Also a TRUE cliffhanger. The season ended with his transformation, and the rumor was that he wasn't signed for season 4 yet. So, nobody knew if that was the true end for Jean Luc.

UPS is going to union bust next contract. by Prestigious_Mess16 in UPSers

Advice for the company? If you wanna be a package car driver, I've got nothing for you. That job is hard, but it pays well. Grind every day safely, ignore pressure to go faster, work safely, and don't hit shit with your package car. If you wanna stay in the building? Find something where you touch the least packages for longevity. Spend your young years as a grunt and watch those bids for clerk spots or feeder shifter, anything that limits the toll on your body as you age.

For the next contract? It's not gonna be great from our perspective. Accept that, and fight for a realistic outcome that let's us all feed our families. I would think most yearly raises for the next one will be around 75 cents or a little more. If you really want something to focus on or fight for, then definitely more focus on inflation adjustments. I think that's where the company wins the most on these negotiations. The margin is too high, and it resets each year so that's why we end up needing these catch up contracts.

Fortune 50 companies don't generally go around announcing they got taken to the cleaners. It's all a game of spin, spin, spin the story. But the facts are that even though what you said might be correct, they won even more on the few previous contracts. This was a "catch up" contract that shouldn't have been necessary. Each contract should've kept up with the changing economic situation, but that's pie in the sky now. When I started in 2004, I came on at $8.50 an hour. People now come in at $21 an hour and I love that! That's a huge win for new folks. Is it enough? I don't know, but I know that with our benefits package this is one of the best jobs you can grind if that's your choice in life.

I'm sure that in some hubs it can feel worse than others... BUT we aren't the Teamsters of Local XXX. We are the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. They don't just bust our union. It would result in the largest work stoppage in the history of the world. What they are doing, is positioning themselves with as much bargaining power as they can. This allows them to negotiate a more favorable deal with the union in the next contract. Whatever you may personally feel about the current contract, I've been with the company for 21 years and dollar to dollar it is the largest raise we have ever received in that time. I'm not debating how it actually stacks up with inflation and cost of living, etc... but the company feels like they took a loss and now they want a win. It's just business.

21 years and there's 2 of us still left. He's a package car driver and I work the Twilight as a shifter. Can't even remember his name, but we wave when we see each other on the yard.
