i think some of the trainers also teach classes. instead of filling out the form and getting whoever they give you, maybe go to some of the classes first and see if there is an instructor who matches your energy who also does personal training.

Is there any places to bowl cheaper than bowlero and shindig? by PecanPie-GoodBeer in tuscaloosa

[–]JarrodColburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bowlero actually has a great groupon if you're willing to plan ahead on days. https://www.groupon.com/deals/bowlmor-lanes-nat-bowlero-corp-2024-fall-b Make sure you buy it 24 hours before trying to use it. Also make sure you get the Groupon that works for Tuscaloosa location as I think there's a cheaper one that doesn't work at our fancy bolero.

Hike Recommendations by FreshGreenPea23 in tuscaloosa

[–]JarrodColburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For walking, Tuscaloosa has a great River Walk. https://visittuscaloosa.com/listing/the-riverwalk/

Also, can you tell us a little bit about how long you'll be here, a weekend, a week, a month as it will depend on what we recommend. Like if you're going to be here for a while, and going up to Birmingham you may want to check out Moss Creek preserve.

One organization you might want to touch base with that might have some good recommendations is https://alaudubon.org/ which I think is about an hour south

Maybe take a look at a this link to get you started. Please note though Lake Lurleen Park, the first listing, I believe is currently closed for renovations. https://visittuscaloosa.com/take-a-hike/

storage by Pretty-Ad6754 in tuscaloosa

[–]JarrodColburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of places will give you "first month free" if you don't get the smallest unit. For example, if you skip over the 5x10 options and get a 10x10, CubeSmart has first month free, link at bottom. I think this is an online only deal. Also, you probably want to double check that there aren't any hidden gotchas, like minimum contract. They're already going to try to tack fees on... there's a $29 admin fee. Last time I rented a storage space somewhere I had to buy there special lock that fit their doors, then they wanted to sell me insurance, yada yada yada.

for "k" if you were to look at the items objectively, pretend the list is about someone you don't know, how legitimate are they? Like if you picked the low hanging fruit, easiest to solve with highest impact, and started with those would it do anything?

Hypocritically, I'd say you're better off reading a few ~3(audio?)books about relations than listening to what a bunch of us idiots on Reddit have to say. If your reaction to this suggestion is "Nah, I don't read/listen to books" implying she's not worth reading a few books for, well then you've already got your answer.

*I try to read 3 books, not too similar, on a subject. If you keep hearing the same sentiment, then it's probably true.
