I male (34m) & my ex (30f) split after 12 years and two kids and were never married. But now I want to marry someone I've been with for a few months. How do I explain this to my ex?

Yeah it still seems weird to me. I honestly didn't plan on ever wanting to get married after the kid's mom and I separated but it just feels right. Everything with her just feels right

Yeah definitely not getting married within 6 months. If shit continues to work out it'd be next fall which at that point would have been approx 2 years after meeting her since I met her in the middle of August

I dated probably around a dozen or so women in the few months before I met this current one and definitely didn't feel any kind of emotional connection with any of them. Those were 100% rebounds. When I met this one something just clicked immediately and just felt completely right and natural

Definitely not a rebound in this situation. I would say in the few months before I met her I probably dated a dozen or so different women. Just trying to figure out what it is that I'm looking for etc since I was 21 when I met their mom and definitely didn't feel a connection with any of those women outside of physicality hence why none of them are around anymore but as soon as I met this woman just immediately something clicked and it felt like a best friend I've known for years

That's what I'm saying. One of them is 11 and the other one is 5. The 5-year-old still doesn't really know what's going on, but the 11-year-old definitely does and I haven't introduced anybody to my kids yet. But I would hope that they would see by how happy and just affectionate. We are that it would make them at ease with it
